If you know wrestling in the high school space, you know of Hudson Rogers. The man just keeps on winning! Having been here in Idaho, and being connected with my Alma Mater (Meridian High School), I kept hearing his name year after year.. It seemed as if he just kept winning more and more tournaments in the sport of wrestling.

Now we have a chance to hear from him on the podcast!

Hudson's been wrestling since he was three years old, and he's now committed to Utah Valley University, where he expects to make an immediate impact upon arriving.

What you'll learn about wrestlers on this show, is just how dedicated they are to their craft. There's a certain amount of discipline required to be able to compete at such a high level and stay on weight as well. Hudson will share some of those things with us on how he's able to do that.

We will learn stories from his wrestling career and get some insight from the champ himself! So make sure you take notes on this one!

Also, make sure to follow Hudson on social media so you can follow his journey as he moves on! You can catch him on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hudson.rogers1/?hl=en

When I was in High School, I remember talking all the time about the "Athletic Training Center" (ATC) here in Boise, Idaho. Little did I know, years later I'd be speaking with the former owner of the ATC here on my show.

Todd Hine is a sports performance specialist, a former athletic trainer for both professional and collegiate athletes, and an entrepreneur. He's sharing his insights with us today which include some of the knowledge he has on what it takes to compete at a high level.

He was a former collegiate athlete himself, and he too has overcome adversity (even at the time of this recording he's working on healing up from an injury so he can compete in the coming year). He's a believer in proving the doubters wrong, and through his story, my hope is you will be motivated to do the same.

We can learn a lot through the stories of others. Todd's story is no different. From being around some high level athletes he knows what separates the good from the great and the great from the elite. So make sure to tap into this one!

Podcast Q&A

Why did you start this show?

I was sick of the 'mainstream sports outlets' who just were doing the same things over and over. Stats and analysis breakdowns. I wanted to create a show where we could learn about sports and see the parallels between sports and life and hear amazing stories.

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

My hope is that the listeners can see how sports translate to regular life. There are a lot of life lessons to be learned through sports, and through the stories of these individuals on this show, you can not only learn more about the sport they play, but get an in-depth look at what they've taken from their experiences for their businesses, life, relationships, and more.

Which episode should someone start with?

The way the show is structured allows you to start at any episode as they do not 'build' off each other. You can start with any of the interviews you'd like. We have a wide variety of athletes/sports figures that represent various sports. Spikeball professionals, to NFL Players, NBA Veterans, and more.

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

So many awesome interviews, but Jerry Stackhouse was an awesome interview to learn about his incredible career in the NBA.

Which episode are you most proud of?

Eddie George, the former Heisman Trophy winner from Ohio State, to then becoming a successful NFL Running Back. I am proud of this episode because Eddie George was my all-time favorite player when I was a little kid.

What is your vision for your show?

I would love to continue building the show and growing the listener base more and more. I would also love to work with more amazing companies as sponsors of the podcast.

What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?

I love interview based podcasts. So "All the Smoke" is a phenomenal show as well as Knuckleheads and Podcast P with Paul George. The non-sports related podcast I enjoy the most is the Joe Rogan Experience.

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

I'm the LEAST creative individual you'll meet, so the name of my show didn't come easy.. It took FOREVER for me to figure it out, but when it came to me, it was while I was at the gym on the treadmill.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm just a regular guy from Idaho who has a passion for sports. I was a former athlete, basketball, football, and boxing. I love competing and I love being around athletics. Best part of my life is my family! I have three children and an amazing wife!
