Superstar podcast guest Geneva of Unwrap Your Map is back again!
Our THIRD episode of Travel Snacks with Geneva takes a look at how to make friends while traveling solo and the benefits of staying at a hostel. She also breaks down the dos and don'ts of staying at hostels.
About Geneva and Unwrap Your Map:
Geneva is an avid traveler who has been wandering the world for the last six years, searching for adventure.
She's lived in 7 U.S. States and six countries on four continents and has been to 45 countries. She loves venturing to new places and exploring new languages, food, and cultures.
It's easy to get wrapped up in the rat race and put our dreams and goals to the side, but we all know how that usually ends.
With the trend of transformative travel on the rise, it's no secret that great things can come from seeking new experiences, exploring new places, and making new friends. Travel can help you experience personal and professional growth through trips of all sizes, be it a two-week vacation or a gap year abroad.
Travel Coaching with UYM aims to help you achieve your travel goals and have better, more meaningful travel experiences. This way, you can focus on living life and not just working for the weekend. (www.unwrapyourmap.com)

S1E28: The Creativity of Cosplay with Raleigh NC Cosplayer, Streamer, Model, and Speaker Jenna Say What!?
Raleigh NC Cosplayer, Jenna Say What!? joins Allie this week to discuss how she got started with Cosplay, the challenges, and how it's impacted her life.
Meet My Guest!
Hi! I'm Jenna Say What?!? You may know me from my cosplays, but I am so much more than that. I started out modeling around 2010 with Blu Water Modeling. There I not only modeled but also helped out with the makeup alongside the talented Contessa.
I went to NC Comic-Con back in 2012 in a Trashy.com Captain America Costume and TERRIBLY-made shield. I felt WAY too overwhelmed especially since I didn't feel I had the talent to make homemade cosplays so I stuck Cap back in the closet and decided never again.
In 2014 I decided to give NC Comic Con one more try. I had purchased a Captain America Shield and decided to attempt sewing. My husband gave me a quick lesson on the machine and he left for a job, this meant I was on my own to try to make this outfit. For the first time, in probably my whole life, I felt powerful. I felt like I could take on everything and anything.
This would eventually be something I used to battle my anxiety and depression.
In March 2016 I would take my past to the C2E2 stage as It's Not Your Fault, a panel I created to talk about overcoming abuse and bullying through cosplay. It honestly meant a lot to me to debut it in my home state. I still to this day do my panel at conventions (mainly in the Carolinas) because I strongly believe that this panel is an important message to bring to conventions.

S1E29: Changing Mundane Moments into Art with Raleigh Artist and Podcaster Jackie Sanders
Raleigh NC Artist and Podcaster Jackie Sanders joins Allie this week to discuss her creative process, her art and business podcast, Level Up Artist, and how she's transforming life's mundane moments into art!
Meet My Guest!
Transforming life’s mundane moments into memorable experiences, my work explores the constant push and pull that each of us faces in our day-to-day lives. As I layer and manipulate abstract gestural marks with crisp geometric lines, my work explores the in-betweens - the space between tension and calm, light and shadow, gestural and rigid marks, and the resistance and release of control.
Opposing elements pull your eye across the panel allowing the viewer to travel in between elements as they seek stability in the chaos. Encouraging others to actively choose the future they are creating, my mission is to help others feel more connected to their minds, bodies, and the spaces in which they exist.
