The Jewish Christian faith, which was established by Jesus Christ and His apostles, consisted of both Jews and Gentiles. The birth of the church occurred on the day of Pentecost in 31 A.D. when the supernatural outpouring of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost was experienced by approximately 120 followers of Christ, with the manifestation of speaking in languages they had never learned.
Today there are over 45,000 denominational religious sects in Christianity, each having their beliefs concerning receiving he Spirit of Christ, the gift of tongues, the gift of interpretation of tongues and the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
