A podcast hosted by Steve Nussbaum where friends talk all about their music tastes, influences and experiences, and get to collate their Fantasy Festivals (which we call a Fantastival), as they get to choose any 5 acts (from any era, genre), with one act having to play a full album in their set, and to end their Fantastival they have to choose an 'encore', which can be any song ever recorded, which all of their 5 acts will perform together to close their Fantasy Festival. The Fantastival Podcast - Fantastival Podcast - #41 Dave Dhannoo
play

03/14/21 • 39 min

This week we have some words from our awesome guest Dave Dhannoo about himself and music...

Dave, 34, fellow South Stander watching the mighty O’s.

'When it comes to music, I’d say the majority of the stuff I listen to is instrumental. I guess the origins of instrumental music comes from an early age – 5/6 years old. I remember my mum buying a Classical Musical magazine which I believe was fortnightly. Every issue came with a tape of a featured classical music composer – Mozart, Handel, etc. I remember her playing the tapes at home and really liked the melodies. I also remember at Primary School my old headmaster would play classical music when we walked into assembly – felt it very calming again – early memory of appreciating music – also remember walking into assembly one time and theme tune to Chariots of Fire was playing – just loving that synthy Intro’.

So now listen to Dave who joins Steve to talk all things music, collate his Fantasy Festival, talk about the acts who made it and acts that just missed out with plenty of stories along the way.

And once you’ve listened to the episode there’s a treat waiting for you as we have put together a Spotify Playlist with all Dave’s selected acts and tunes he spoke about:
