Their friendship goes back 15 years and Kirsten opens up to Jason about her childhood and her career, talking about the challenges she faced before reaching the levels of success she enjoys today. She talks about her innate shyness, her dyslexia, body-shaming in Hollywood, her passion for a fair society and of course her journey as Penelope Garcia in the multi-award winning CBS show, Criminal Minds, recounting previously unheard stories as she goes. Kirsten is also a glasses connoisseur and Kirk & Kirk frames have long been synonymous with Penelope Garcia. Kirtsen tells how she ensured that the frames Garcia wore were very much her choice, in order to properly reflect the personality of the character who became such a huge part of her life.
