The Dream World
Amina
The Dream World Podcast is about focusing on sleep & dreams to better your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. It is an interactive podcast, where anyone can join the conversation about exploring consciousness. Our goal is to bridge the gap between science and spirituality and normalize talking about dreams. We cover a variety of tips and topics on how to take care of the mind and body both in waking life and in the dream world. With an open mind, we investigate stories, anecdotes, research studies, myths, facts and everything in between, in order to explore the universe & all its mysteries🧠
🪐 We love talking to oneironauts (dream travelers) and learning about their experiences with lucid dreaming and other out-of-body-experiences. ⛈ To join our community, go to https://thedreamworldpodcast.com/
💡How can we learn from our dreams and apply it to our waking life? We as humans spend an entire THIRD of our lives asleep, where we sleepwalk through our dreams just as mindlessly as we walk through life. In our dreams, we visit another dimension called The Dream World. Wake up. Pay attention.
👩🏽🚀 Dreams are gifts that have a lot to teach us. Even nightmares can be transformative. “Lucid dreaming has considerable potential for promoting personal growth and self-development, enhancing self-confidence, improving mental and physical health, facilitating creative problem solving and helping you to progress on the path to self-mastery”.-Stephen Laberge. ⚡️
💡 We often hear stories of people who’ve learned from their dreams or been inspired by them, such as Paul McCartney’s hit song “Yesterday” coming to him in a dream or of Mendeleev’s dream-inspired construction of the periodic table of elements, suggesting that dreams are more than just a byproduct of sleep.

EP94: "Soo much of life is unimportant. Don't sweat the small stuff" -Charlie Morley's Lucid Dream
The Dream World
02/21/25 • 27 min
The legendary Charlie Morley is talking about his IASD presentation in June 2025. In his keynote talk, Charlie will be discussing the remarkable results of two recent scientific studies that used lucid dreaming as a treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The results of the studies were quite remarkable, with the average PTSD score dropping so far below the medical threshold that dozens of participants were no longer classified as having PTSD by the end of the one-week study.
He will also discuss the initial refusal to publish from many journals, the eventual publication in the peer-reviewed journal Traumatology, and his controversial TED talk on the subject that was blacklisted over disputed data. So, join us at this exciting talk to explore how lucid dreaming may well be one of the most promising interventions for trauma currently available.

EP7: Dreams, Premonitions & Visions
The Dream World
05/12/21 • 62 min
For centuries people have pondered the meaning of dreams. Early civilizations thought of dreams as a medium between our earthly world and that of the gods, and that they had certain prophetic powers. Most of us know what it feels like to experience Déjà vu, or an uncanny feeling of premonition, a flash of insight into the future that seems to have no rational explanation. We often dismiss these feelings as luck or a creepy coincidence, but what you may not know is that there is compelling scientific evidence that backs up the accuracy of at least some of these precognitive experiences. While we sleep, our subconscious minds continue to work on problems our conscious minds have failed to solve. How can we learn to interpret our dreams & dream symbols?
In this episode we dive into where science and spirituality meet, such as CIA research on remote viewing % Extra Sensory Perception (ESP).

EP3: Lucid Dreaming Intro: A Waking Life Hack
The Dream World
03/26/21 • 10 min
What REALLY happens at the edge of consciousness? Dreaming is more than just a byproduct of sleep. Once you learn the basics of lucid dreaming, you can solve problems on demand and on a whole new level, not being limited by your logical conscious brain. In this episode we talk about techniques for lucid dreaming, beginner tips, and a bit about the science behind dreaming.
“Lucid dreaming has considerable potential for promoting personal growth and self-development, enhancing self-confidence, improving mental and physical health, facilitating creative problem solving and helping you to progress on the path to self-mastery. If you want to learn to paint, summon Rembrandt. Go fishing with Hemingway or Hesse and talk about that novel you’ve always wanted to write”. LaBerge, “ Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming” 1990
“The process of creation is accompanied by the capacity to communicate with the most primitive layers of the unconscious. When this capacity to communicate includes the ability to ask the unconscious — in the form of the dreaming mind — for artistic inspiration, then the lucid dreaming artist may have a certain advantage over the non-lucid dreaming artist”. Chasseguet-Smirgel, J. (1995) ‘“Creative Writers and Day-dreaming”
While dreaming, there are no physical limitations to what can be created or done. The dreamer can do the “impossible”, enhance their skills, seek new ideas for stories or creations and even summon legends or mentors.

EP20: Becoming the Captain of Your Own Life
The Dream World
04/29/22 • 32 min
Intrinsic Motivation & Becoming the Captain of Your Own Life
The Dream World Podcast Book Club: “New You! Who Knew?” David EdwardsAvailable on Amazon and www.davidredwards.com.
David was CEO of a Community Health Center creating the leading integrated, person-focused, primary care center in the country. He realized that many people are missing core skills that if they had would make their lives so much better. He left a well-paying job and embarked on researching and writing a book to help regular people learn the principles and skills needed to become the captain of their own life.
David talks about how he has witnessed and contributed to the evolution of healthcare systems. He saw the need for a health system designed to actually heal. This is one that takes a whole-picture approach, looks at the patient as a whole mind-body & soul, involves nature in the environment, and focuses care around the patient’s needs. Nature has many metaphors that can teach us life lessons, and incorporating it into our healthcare aids healing and alignment.
He started to teach others how to become the person they want to become by being the captain of their own life and relying less on external motivation or stimuli. He has studied the models of external and internal change and how it affects our thinking patterns and lifestyle. Keeping up with the change around us and in society is necessary to feel free and happy, but it is also important to navigate the change we direct in our own internal person. The person we are becoming evolves every day. Internal motivation goes a long way against obstacles when trying to achieve your life goals. How can we bear healthy fruit in our lives like a cherry tree with strong roots?
Podcast Episode 9 reference: Signs of Reincarnation- The Evidence Based Research & Limitations of Science (With Jim Matlock)
Timothy Francis Leary was an American psychologist and writer known for his strong advocacy of psychedelic drugs. Evaluations of Leary are polarized, ranging from bold oracle to publicity hound. He was "a hero of American consciousness"
10 principles of intrinsic motivation: Values. Awareness. Learning . Intent. Planning. Action. Belief. Self kindness, Mindlessness. Judge less and think more.
Awareness is an authentic attempt to become conscious of what is within and
around you. It is a relaxed and interested attention to what is happening. The
opposite of being aware is to be ignorant, blind, oblivious, or simply unaware.

EP97: Lucid Dreaming & Lucid Living
The Dream World
04/04/25 • 52 min
What if your dreams could become a playground for healing, transformation, and soul growth?
In this powerful episode of The Dream World Podcast, Amina sits down with filmmaker, dream educator, and lifelong lucid dreamer Nisha Burton to explore how lucid dreaming can help us face fear, satisfy deep desires, and even prepare for death. Raised in a lineage of dreamers, Nisha shares how her mother nurtured her dream life from childhood and how that led her into profound spiritual explorations through lucid states.
From flying through the cosmos and indulging in dream pastries (hello, gluten-free croissants!) to entering the clear light of mind inspired by Tibetan dream yoga, Nisha’s stories will inspire you to embrace dreaming as a sacred part of life. The two also dive into dream mirrors, the mysterious "dream police," dream portals, shared dreaming, and learning to trust your unique dream symbolism.
Whether you're deep into your practice or just starting out, this episode will remind you: your dreams are valid, powerful, and deeply personal. 🌌
