Karrine Blouin - ExJW Girl In Shambles
Divorced: Jehovah’s Witnesses

TW: Sexual Abuse

I discovered today’s guest, Karinne Blouin, on Instagram, where her handle is “girl_inshambles.” Her insights and personal snippets about her former life as a Jehovah’s Witness gripped me hard enough to invite her to share her story with us today.

Karinne was born and raised in the Jehovah Witnesses (in Montreal Canada). She's a sexual abuse survivor.

Karinne is currently writing an autobiography about her upbringing, waking up from years of brainwashing and guilt trips, and understanding how to deal with C-PTSD and trauma.

In this episode, Karrine shares about growing up in an abusive, authoritarian Jehovah’s Witness family - and what it took for her to leave.
