Alec Lockard joins us around the Digital Campfire this episode to share all that the Lord has been doing in his life. We dive into some tough questions: Is baptism necessary for salvation? Does it have to happen in a church according to scripture? Why do so many young Christians seem disengaged from their relationship with Christ? And how seriously should we take serving in the Church? These are just a few of the questions we explore as we discuss faith, commitment, and the importance of living out our beliefs.

In this episode, our dear friend and former mentor, Deon Vanstaden, joins us to explore the gift of healing and whether it’s for the church today. Deon, a South African native, pastor, church planter, and Director of Coaches at Adventures in Missions, brings his insights to help us tackle this important question. If healing is for today, how do we pursue it, and does it honor Christ? We hope this conversation encourages you to think deeply about the topic and seek out the Scriptures to discover the truth for yourself!

I recently finished reading Authorized: The Use and Misuse of the King James Bible by Mark Ward (highly recommend!), a book I picked up during a trip that was truly a blessing. In this episode, Erika and I briefly discuss the ideas from the book and share our hearts behind doing this episode. We tackle a topic and belief that many of our loved ones hold close with grace and humility. We believe God’s Word is alive and active, and though we don’t have all the answers, our prayer is that this conversation will bless those who listen.

"So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it."

—Isaiah 55:11
