American skier Gus Schumacher won a World Cup distance race in Minneapolis today — the first time a U.S. man has done this in decades. We'll have more from Schumacher later, but here are a few quick words from him at the finish line. Stay tuned.

We caught up quickly with Claire Wilson, lead organizer of the Minneapolis World Cup and head of the Loppet Foundation, to get a sense of what's going on in the lead-up to the racing.
