Should Christians Always Forgive One Another?
The Daily Grace Podcast
02/27/24 • 32 min
Forgiveness can be a loaded topic. It’s almost always tied to pain—either pain that we’ve caused or pain that we’ve experienced. This makes forgiveness difficult to process and difficult to act on. In this episode, Krystal and Shelby break down what biblical forgiveness is, why we are able to forgive even when it’s hard, and how to handle forgive difficult people. We pray that this episode reminds you of all that you’ve been forgiven of in Christ and encourages you to forgive others for big offenses and small ones.

We believe it is valuable to hear from a variety of guests, even if we do not agree in all areas. As always, the statements made by hosts and guests on the show should be tested against God’s Word, the only authority on truth.

When You Feel Misunderstood
The Daily Grace Podcast
11/14/23 • 23 min
Have you ever felt misunderstood? There can be something so frustrating when you do not feel heard or understood. In today’s conversation, Shelby and Krystal discuss when we as women are most tempted to feel misunderstood as well as the responses that often come out of feeling that way. We can sometimes dismiss the “respectable” sins such as pride but Scripture is clear to point us toward away from pride and toward a humble posture. By walking in humility, we seek to honor the Lord and others in the way we process and respond to situations where we feel misunderstood.

How to Control Anger so it Doesn't Control You
The Daily Grace Podcast
02/08/22 • 43 min
Anger. Often, at the first signs of conflict, it begins to bubble within us. We think, “How could they? Or This is not fair!” Sometimes, we are able to take a few deep breaths and push down our frustration. The problem comes when the conflict persists. The longer we must endure infuriating circumstances, the more our patience wanes. And when we are all out of patience, our red hot anger boils over and often burns those around us. Does the Bible give us a better way to handle anger than to push it down until we explode? Yes, it does.
In today’s episode, we are talking about how the gospel speaks to our anger and shows how to handle it in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. Anger in itself is not a sin, but it can so easily lead to sin. Thankfully, God has given us His Word to speak to even the deepest anger that we feel.

How to Disagree Well with Others
The Daily Grace Podcast
09/01/20 • 50 min
Disagreements are hard, but they’re part of each of our realities due to our fallen nature. Maybe it’s a political or social issue. Maybe it’s a doctrinal issue. Maybe it’s a matter of personal conscience. There are a thousand things we can disagree on with others! So is there a way to disagree well? We believe there is, but it requires hard work. It requires humility and engaging in conversations with the goal of listening and learning. It requires acknowledging that we’re limited beings. And most importantly, it requires keeping the gospel central.

Why You Need Theology
The Daily Grace Podcast
02/19/19 • 54 min
Everyone’s a theologian. What exactly does that mean? What is theology? It’s not as scary as it sounds! We’ll talk about what the goal of theology is, and why theology even matters. We’ll share our personal stories regarding our study of theology and the impact that it has had on our lives.
We’ll start off by defining theology. It’s not as scary as it sounds! We’ll talk about what the goal of theology is, and why theology even matters. We’ll share our personal stories regarding our study of theology and the impact that it has had on our lives. We dive a little deeper into the acronym S.C.A.N., which details the four traditional attributes of Scripture, because the Bible is the primary place we should look for our theology. Then we’ll move into a more practical discussion about how you can engage in theology, even if you’re a new believer! We’ll top off our conversation by talking about the potential pitfalls to watch out for as you grow in your study of theology.
