The trial of the century, The People vs. Donald Falcom, has come to a close. As per Beavertail tradition, the all-female jury returned from their delibirations at the Beavertail Holiday Inn’s special Jury Delibiration chamber and spa, to announce their verdict. https://cptbroadcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/ccrh-scary-stories_edit2.mp3 After weeks of debate and arguments from the Defense, Beavertail’s own Pastor Creedence Clearwater and Crumdon’s Lawyer of the Year, Michael Davenport, the Jury has found Donald “not guilty” on the charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, waffle-theft, and bad-murder thoughts. The much talked about trial reached a turning-point last week when Pastor Clearwater’s “Court Filibuster technique” of reading the entirety of Hiromu Arakawa’s landmark manga series “Full Metal Alchemist”, (complete with descriptions of each image and commentary) was interrupted by a shocking revelation from the morgue. The cause of death, initially thought to be a stabbing with thousands of tiny knives, was revealed to be snake venom. Shortly there-after the security tapes of the Denny’s parking lot revealed that Donald had a brief conversation with the victim, Todd Sinnoh, where-in he apologized profusely for “trying to get in the way of his true love’s happiness” and Mr. Sinnoh replied with “I hope you get bit by thousands of venomous snakes you horrible man”. Donald then fled the scene in tears before a cruel irony befell Mr Sinnoh and he was swarmed by thousands of venomous snakes that had flooded the streets of Beavertail. While managing to fight off some of them, Mr. Sinnoh stumbled off into the woods where he succumbed to his wounds. The tapes were truly damning for the prosecution who responded with “well, this sucks. Oh well, I give up.” and proceeded to leave the courtroom. Mr. Davenport could not be reached for comment. When asked why he did not think to review the security tape sooner, Detective Jim Silvers, head of the investigation replied with “It didn’t seem too important at the time.” Donald Falcon, now a free-man, has returned to his job assisting Pastor Clearwater with his podcast “The Creedence Clearwater Revival Hour”.

Pastor Clearwater,

My name is Ethel Laharl, I’m the social worker assigned to your case. As you know, your official sentence was 13 weeks community service for the crimes of “Name Lying” and “Baring False Witness Upon name of the Church”. You are therefor going to be given a job here in town which you shall work at in order to pay your debt to the town of Beavertail.

https://cptbroadcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/ccrh14.mp3

Since you have experience working with people of all ages I have decided to assign you to the John Wilkes Booth Secular Academy for Grades K-12. Due to recent tragic events, they have found themselves short one cafeteria worker. You shall be filling in for this position. Your official title will be that of Lunch Man.

You will be trained on the job by the current working Lunch Woman and are to do exactly what you are told. Its my understanding that you can be a bit of a trouble maker to I ask that you please just keep your head down, serve the lunch and make this next 15 weeks easy on us both, ok? Please contact me if you have any questions regarding your employment.

Yours,

Ethel Laharl

Hey Everyone,

I realize I’ve neglected to actually tell you what’s going on in these episodes and accidentally been posting my emails instead. That ends now.

In the Season Finale, The Pastor invites the rest of the religious figures from the town over for an old-fashioned “Pastor-Off.” Things become tense. Someone might lose their church. Someone might lose their life. An old mystery might be solved.- Don’s Editor Note

Now that I’ve got that out of the way, I have one more email to share with you all!

https://cptbroadcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/ccrh-finale-edit2.mp3 Don,

Wow. What a year its been ‘huh? First off, I really just need to apologize for how I’ve treated you this year. I’ve been incredibly distant and once you dropped that bombshell earlier on...well it shook me. But I’m gonna make up for all the time we’ve lost this year by being honest with you now.

Things weren’t great with Todd before then end. We were fighting a lot, we stopped sleeping in the same room and eventually he just started seeing other people. I knew and I didn’t stop him because I wanted him to fall in love with someone else, I wanted him to find happiness elsewhere because I knew we couldn’t find it together. Whenever we were in the same room I just felt, distracted, like my mind....my heart was elsewhere.

I know where it was now, Don. I’m ready to admit what I wasn’t ready to say all those months ago. I think...I think I have feelings for you too. You are the only person who ever really “got” me, you know? And that book you wrote? That was hilarious, Don. It was exactly my sense of humor, the exact thing Todd never understood about me. He wrote 50 best selling detective novels to try and connect with me and your hastily-written, spelling-error-filled manuscript understood me better than he ever could.

This is going to sound bad but...when Todd passed, I felt...relief. Like I could finally start all over...all over with you. I knew you had nothing to do with it, I know your soul, Don. Its gentle and passionate. I’ve always loved that about you. I know this is completely crazy but seeing all the things you’ve done this year and watching your friend Pastor Clearwater defend you so passionately in that courtroom it just...it just really woke something up in me and I’m ready to explore that if you are.

What do you say, little brother? Do you want to meet for coffee and see if we can figure this thing out, together?

With love, Margot

This episode of CCRH was recorded live at Cornerstone Studios in New York City,
on June 26th, 2016, as part of the Uptown Arts Stroll.

The Pastor and I hit the road to do a special show in the Big Apple-like city of New York! We had talked all things animals with Safari Scott, Beavertail’s resident animal expert! Also, we would like to address a letter of apology to staff of the Hell’s Kitchen Ramada Inn. https://cptbroadcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/ccrh-7-live-1.mp3 Live From Cornerstone Studios

Dear Ramada Inn Staff,

The Pastor and I would like to formally apologize for what took place in your lobby last night. Upon further research we have realized that it was in fact Sam Neil who played Dr. Alan Grant in the film, Jurassic Park and NOT Sam Elliot.

We admit the argument that ensued with the front desk staff over which actor that was got a bit too heated and some hurtful things were said. We would like to apologize for calling one front desk worker a “rotting pile of human garbage who wouldn’t know Sam Elliot if he walked into this lobby and kissed him on his fat pig-mouth” and for throwing so many pamphlets for “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not” in what quickly escalated into an admittedly very fun pamphlet fight between ourselves and the staff.

That being said I expect full compensation to replace my Science Ninja Team Gatchaman T-Shirt that was ripped slightly in the game of tag that followed. Please send the $8.95 (plus shipping and handling) so that I may order a replacement shirt to my home in Beavertail.

Schott as Pastor Clearwater, Garretson as Safari Scott Jake and Amanda, the lovely front desk workers we ended up bonding with late into the evening in that lobby once the dust settled, have my address. Apologies again for the mess we made and the fire that was started. Perhaps we took the camp-out-like nature of the encounter a bit too far. The Pastor and I would also like to just say to Jake and Amanda...thank you. True friends like you only come once in a blue moon. I’m glad we were able to meet on this crazy journey of life. If you ever find yourselves in Beavertail please look us up. We can have that Space Battleship Yamato marathon we talked about. Much love to Jake and Amanda,

– Don

Pastor, I think there was a bit of a mix-up with the last podcast you put out. I wasn’t saying that you should just copy and paste the e-mail I had sent you and use that for the episode description. Having the entirety of an e-mail from me as a description is just going to confuse people. That being said, regarding your next podcast you should call it something like “A COUPLE OF FRIENDS STOP BY!” and in the description talk about how you meet with local restaurateur, Juan Churita and Trey McDaniels of Trey McDaniels used cars and auto parts. Again, I must make this clear, DO NOT MAKE THIS THE ACTUAL DESCRIPTION. PLEASE DO NOT SHARE THIS EMAIL WITH ANYONE!!!! I know writing podcast descriptions is hard but I know you can do it! On an unrelated note,I really have to thank you for that advice you were giving me about my sister. I think i’m finally gonna tell her how I feel. Thanks again Pastor! All the best, Don https://cptbroadcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ccrh_ep2_final.mp3

https://cptbroadcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/ep_2_edit1.mp3 Pastor Clearwater, It has come to my attention that there was yet another tragedy in the halls of John Wilkes Booth Secular Academy for Grades K-12. Unfortunately it would seem your former superior and Lunch Czar was actually notorious Russian gangster (NAME REDACTED). The majority of the crimes committed that day have been added to her rap-sheet and a nation-wide woman-hunt has begun. In the meantime I must continue my work. Due to a loop-hole in our system, your one day at the academy does in fact count as a full-work week so you have 12 weeks of community service remaining. I’ve decided to assign you to the town’s bowling alley until I can come up with a better, more “legitimate occupation”. Find something to do with yourself and please stay out of trouble. I get enough of that at home! LOL! Please disregard that last sentence.

Best Regards,

Ethel Laharl
