The Communication Architect
08/23/21 • 24 min
Join Dr. Lisa Dunne as she continues her analysis of the ten toxic traits of public education. Today's trait is being spewed out daily from the sewers of government indoctrination centers, bearing its tragic fruit in a generation of numb, misattuned, and noncommittal spectators. We can't afford to look the other way and hope the system will change, that the world around us will change. It's time to step up. The mental, physical, relational, emotional, and spiritual health of the next generation is at stake. Learn more about Dr. Dunne's local efforts at AwakenAcademySD.com and CVCU.us.

Freeing the Captives: Ten Toxic Traits of Public Education
The Communication Architect
07/16/21 • 23 min
There are many powerful reasons for breaking free of the toxic teachings of traditional education. And it's not only about the overtly soul-less content found in the public system. As Ken Ham has pointed out, many of today's Christian schools are also failing to produce thinkers, doers, disciples. More often than not, according to Ham's research, Christian schools have simply mirrored the methodologies and ideologies of the secular system. They walk like a public school, talk like a public school, and think like a public school. They’re like a secular textbook with an “I Heart Jesus” bumper sticker slapped on the front cover. And why? Because most of the teachers went to secular institutions and are simply parroting the information and methodology they absorbed in their own humanistic classrooms. Instead of creating a spirit of wonder and gratitude--two emotions that should fuel the transformative experience of learning--modern classrooms are stifling creativity and impeding the Great Commission. As Neil Postman puts it, education and school have become mutually exclusive. If we want to positively influence the trajectory of today's students, it’s time to take back the reins. The next generation needs active, engaged mothers and fathers to lead them to greatness. The future is family. Join Dr. Lisa Dunne this week to learn what we can do to get involved and to equip those in our realm of influence to free the captives and help the next generation find hope, purpose, and direction. Health Care or Sick Care? An Interview with Christian Healthcare Ministries
The Communication Architect
04/17/25 • 24 min
I'm all about breaking free from broken systems, so when our family heard about CHM twelve years ago, we jumped on board and never looked back. Americans are the sickest country in the developed world--and the vast majority of that diagnosis is what is called "preventable" disease. Preventable means you can prevent it! You have the ability, the agency, to live a healthier life. Why not partner with a faith-based group that wants to support your health instead of enabling your sickness? If you're ready to break free from traditional "sick care" programs that weigh down both your heart AND your bank account, don't miss this interview with Lauren Gajdek, Executive Director of External Affairs at Christian Healthcare Ministries. Learn more at CHMinistries.org. The system is broken; we can fix it!

From Homeschool to High Impact: An Interview with Ethan Dunne
The Communication Architect

If you haven't heard, there is an all-out war being waged against homeschoolers right now. Scroll back on this podcast to hear all the stats on why Dr. Lisa believes as both a parent and a 25-year veteran of higher education that homeschooling is THE superior educational methodology for the current era!
Join Dr. Lisa in this special episode as she interviews lifelong homeschooler Ethan Dunne as he shares his insights on school, life, theater, and the value of mental margin. At 25 years old, Ethan brings experiential data to the homeschool conversation that is already supported by 40 years of statistical research at NHERI.org. Homeschooling works!
