After Gabby Petito went missing in late August 2021, her fiancé Brian Laundrie raised suspicion when he drove her van from Wyoming back to his parents' house in North Point, Florida and refused to talk about her whereabouts. Brian later departed his home in Florida on September 13 and was reported missing on September 17.
The Gabby Petito case gained national attention due to the couple's social media activity, police body cam video footage, and eyewitness accounts.
