S2 E118 - Tottenham Way

Plot/Cast: Gary Stevens and Micky Hazard join host Mr. Jolly from Sydney OzSpurs to take a deep dive into the notion of “the Tottenham Way”. It's a pod that was inspired by the reaction of many Spurs fans to the insipid performance against Bournemouth, as well as the uninspiring anti-possession style in other recent games. Mr. Jolly takes Gary and Micky back to when they first joined the club asking them about their exposure to the Tottenham way, and asks how various Tottenham managers taught it. There’s also talk about the importance of cynicism at times, though Micky’s chat about the evil Barcelona team of 1981-2 that kicked lumps out of us as we lost, serves as a reminder that the good old days weren’t always good. Finally the dynamic duo give their opinions on the Pochettino version of the Tottenham Way before sharing their thoughts on the Jose version of it too. That’s right they think his way is an actual version rather than a total debasement of the philosophy. Vlad then turns up to lead the lads in song.
