Jon Christopher Davis is one of the most talented singer/songwriters living in North Texas. He has written songs for - and recorded with - musical legends such as Dolly Parton, Hal Ketchum, Timothy B. Schmit (Eagles), Stan Lynch (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), The Go-Go's, Billy Ray Cyrus to name a few.
And while the pandemic has had a huge negative impact on the music industry, Jon keeps going - launching his "Backyard Tour" where families or small groups can hire him and his band for a live performance while maintaining proper safety protocols.
In today's episode, Jon shares some great stories of how he started his music career, writing songs for Dolly Parton, opening for Eddie Money, how Don Henley named his band and tells us the story behind a song he wrote for his wife of 34 years that will melt your heart!
