The Brewtiful Game

Wow! With this Premier League wrap up episode, we have officially been producing The Brewtiful Game show for a year. Thank you so much to everyone that has been listening along the way. We love doing the show for you all, and we look forward to sharing the next year with you, as well. (Correction: due to a typo on show notes, we stated Liverpool was third and Manchester City was fourth. That should have been the other way around. Sorry. We were excited to celebrate our 1 year.)

Now, on to the new episode. For our year anniversary, we go with the same topic our first show covered. We wrap up our thoughts on another fun Premier League season. We pick our top highlights, and see how we did with the predictions we made. The tally of our fantasy league is discussed, and we see who the winners and losers are.

Ferris brought the beer, and in honor of the anniversary, picked the three different beers we had for our very first episode. A sentimental and delicious choice.

That wasn't the only beer consumed in this episode. Blake and Ferris had a bet about weather Manchester United or Arsenal would end up higher than the other. Ferris lost this bet, and had to drink a strange concoction of a beer float made with Moo Thunder.

Again, we thank you all so much for listening. You give three friends an excuse to get together and be idiots while chatting about beer and soccer. We are so grateful.

On our 175th episode, our very own Sultan of Sausage (Ron) recaps his adventures in Europe and Oktoberfest. Here's a hint: It was fun and the beer was great! For the beer of the pod, Ron brought a special beer back especially for Ferris. The gents also talked a bit about the goings on in the football world for Premier League, and the international Break.

Ferris and Ron anchor this episode with Blake having been called to work. Thankfully, the guys don't have to hear him wax poetic on Arsenal's 6-nil drubbing of Sheffield United. Who wants to hear all that??!!

Ferris is duely humbled by the Manchester Derby as Manchester is blue; Liverpool leave it exteremly late to take care of Forest and Chelsea snatch a draw from the jaws of a loss they should have won.

In order to clean out the studio fridge to make way for more tasty brew, the guys have a sampler of three new Flying Monkeys IPAs. Grab a favorite IPA and give a cheers and a listen!

Ron is back with us as we celebrate the fact all three of our favorite Premier League clubs actually won this past matchweek. Everyone is finally in a good mood. We also look at a tough injury for the USMNT and the struggles Bayern Munich is facing over in the Bundesliga.

Week 8 of the Premier League has come and gone, but not without another VAR controversy. The guys have a lively discussion about Giroud's debut as a keeper, Arsenal topping Man City Kovacic clumsiness, McTominey leaving it late for Man U, and with a tear in his eye, Ron highlights the career of Eden Hazard after the announcment of his retirement from football.
