Part 2 of How to Build Your Business Plan where I dive into a new, easy to use template I developed for myself to quickly develop elevator pitches for my companies. I'm sharing it with you.
Your elevator pitch is a short, persuasive speech you give to spark interest in your company, product or service.

A good elevator pitch should last between 15 and 45 seconds; you guessed it, about the time it takes to ride an elevator.
I lay out the fill in the blank, shortcut, to create your elevator pitch in this episode and all in less than 15 minutes.

How to Build a Rum Business with Ben Lyon from Lyon Rum Distillery

The Brandon White Show (EDGE for peak performance)

play

07/25/20 • 81 min

Ben Lyon from Lyon Rum Distillery shares how he built a rum company from nothing and what broke along the way. Listen in to get the scoop and some high percentage tips (HPT's) to build your own liquor brand.

You know the saying, "It's not a party until something gets broken." Well...

Building a liquor business is fun, building your own distillery is a challenge, but hey, you get to party because you have a rum company right? Listen to find out.

About Ben Lyon
Ben founded Lyon Distilling Company, and in December of 2014, proudly released the first batch of rye whiskey distilled in Maryland in over 40 years.
In addition to reviving Maryland's illustrious history in rye, Ben also made a signature line of rums and a corn whiskey which is, as he would put it, "not for sissies".
His story in all things booze began at the age of 18, when his godmother taught him how to make the perfect Manhattan. In college he started brewing his own beer. It was after a post-graduation stint at a small New England distillery that he realized exactly what he needed to do.
Fast forward 8 years to when Ben left his "real job" in Manhattan, and the Lyon Distilling Company was founded in Saint Michaels, Maryland - a lovely spot on the Chesapeake Bay best described as "a drinking town with a sailing problem".
Fun facts: Ben likes polished copper, strong drinks, hard work, and sailboats. For bonus points, ask him about his vintage truck, "The Whomper".
