Spine specialist, Dr. Timothy Gagan shares a success story using Cox Technic on a landscaper who has low back pain with pain down his leg and into his foot.

Dr. Tim's interest in chiropractic began with high-school sports. He was a wrestler and football player which caused him spinal injury. He was impressed with his hometown chiropractor and decided that treating musculoskeletal complaints through chiropractic care was what he wanted to do in life. He attained a bachelor's degree in biology with a chemistry minor from St John Fisher University and a doctorate in chiropractic from the northeast college of chiropractic (formerly known as New York chiropractic college). He has been in practice for four and a half years at Apple Country Chiropractic in Williamson, NY and specializes in treating intervertebral discs disorders. He attributes much of his understanding of injuries from experiencing them firsthand through sports and working alongside his father on construction jobs. He takes great joy in treating working men, like his father, and getting them back to work. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music. His mother is a piano teacher who instilled a love of music in him. You can hear his music on YouTube on his channel, "The musical chiropractor".

Dr. Tim lives in Webster NY with the love of his life and wife, Rachel. She was instrumental in supporting him through chiropractic college and helping him survive "Grad School poverty." They have a 12-year-old German Short Haired pointer named Bella.

Spine specialist, Dr. Ed Barry shares a patient success story using Cox Technic. Then he explains how he used the principles of flexion distraction to create a new home product for lower back pain called the Lift. Dr. Ed Barry

As a board-certified chiropractic orthopedist and certified laser pain management physician, Dr. Ed Barry has spent the past 38 years helping patients get back to all the things they used to do. Over that time, Dr. Barry utilized traditional chiropractic techniques as well as laser therapy to treat a variety of conditions including arthritis, sciatica, spinal stenosis, hip pain, back and neck pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Many years ago, while Dr. Barry was exercising in the gym, he was drawn to a curious apparatus that was specifically designed for toning the abdominal muscles. What made this piece of equipment so interesting was in the design and movement – a bench was fitted with a pivot bearing in the mid-point of the table so the user could alter the plane of movement in the abdomen as you contracted upward, creating resistance to both the anterior and oblique muscles in the abdomen.

That got him thinking about the possibility of creating a device that could combine the two movements of flexion and traction for the lower back. And that’s when the seed for Lift was planted, and with those years of development, refinement, and engineering, Dr. Barry is now proud to introduce Lift to patients all over the world.
