Creative Professionals (Interlude)
07/21/21 • 62 min
This week, Akshay invited back guests from earlier ‘creative professionals’ episodes to reflect on the topic of creativity. Akshay and his guests Simone Jo Moore (Organizational Coach and ITIL 4 author), Sanjeev NC (Product Manager, SuperOps.ai) and Rob England (Management Consultant and Trainer) discuss why creativity is discouraged in the workplace and why this is almost always a bad thing.
This week’s “shout-out” goes to Stephen Mann, who is the principal analyst and content director at itsm.tools, one of the best ITSM blogs.

Q&A Daisy Chain
We're trying an interesting approach with this podcast. We solicited a question from the ITSM community on LinkedIn, and then approached an SME to answer it, and then to ask their own question. We've ended up building an episode around this ""daisy chain"", and we'd love to know what you think!
We start with a question sent in by Mitch Pautz (Senior ITSM Analyst, University of Southern California), which Akshay uses to kick off the episode with Rob Akershoek (Chair of The Open Group IT4IT Forum). Rob then asked a question about value streams which was addressed by Daniel Breston (Independent ITSM consultant and coach) & Michelle Major-Goldsmith (Manager, Kinetic IT). Finally, Dan asked a question about talent management, which Akshay brought back to base to have a chat with AXELOS CEO Mark Basham and CCO Catherine Newman.
This episode's shout-out is to Orian Mendes, a Business Development Manager at TSO, the official publisher of ITIL guidance.
