Episode #31 Sam LeFebre w/ Ride PARC
The Average Watts Podcast
09/21/21 • 33 min
In EP 31, I have a chat with Sam LeFebre with Ride Parc. In this interview Sam talks to me about "The Bag" which is a very cool new bag to carry all you cycling gear. The Bag launched on Kickstarter in April of 2021 and quickly raised over 310% of their goal amount to produce the first round of Bags.
Cyclingtips said "The Parc Bag is a truly different take on the everyday gear bag" and described it as "A giant toiletry bag, but for your bike stuff instead of a toothpaste and shampoo".

Episode #30 Mike Levy Pinkbike Editor
The Average Watts Podcast
08/20/21 • 58 min
In E30, I chat with Pinkbike Editor Mike Levy. I had a blast getting to have a coffee shop style chat with Mike to learn a bit about his adventures in cycling, as well as what goes into being one of the best bike editor/reviewers in the industry. One of the things I found interesting was how Mike spends a lot of time on his gravel bike. Like most of us riding bikes is a release and Mike is no different and rides a gravel bike to escape the mountain bike.

Episode #34 Willow Koerber-Rockwell
The Average Watts Podcast
11/17/21 • 73 min
In Episode #33, I sit down with former UCI World Cup XC rider Willow Koerber-Rockwell. If you just entered the sport of mountain biking within the past 5 years you may ask yourself who is Willow Koerber-Rockwell? Well, she was one of the top XC riders for the Subaru Gary Fisher Team that then turned into Subaru Trek Factory Team. Willow finished 3rd in the 2009 and 2010 UCI World Championships and was 2nd OVERALL in the 2010 UCI XCO Series. She was also the FIRST female to reach the podium at a world cup, riding a 29er mountain bike. Remember, at that time in the sport of mountain biking, 29er's were still consider the ugly step child that no one wanted to invite to the party. I for one, thank Willow for kicking in the door and bringing the "wagon wheel" outcast to the party.
Following the 2010 season she took off to have her first child. In 2012 she came back to the world stage, but her priorities had changed and she couldn't fully commit to being both a mother and a pro mountain biker, so Willow walked away from the sport. She now lives in Colorado with her husband, Myles Rockwell (former UCI World DH Champion) and her two daughters.
Other notable results:
2005 - 3rd National XCO Championships
2007 - 3rd National XCO Championships
2009 - 2nd National XCO Championships
2010 - 3rd National XCO Championships
3x College National Champion

Episode #24 TJ Eisenhart
The Average Watts Podcast
02/10/21 • 85 min
In E24, I chat with TJ Eisenhart. TJ is a former road cyclist who broke away from the mold of traditional road racing and found his way to gravel and mountain bike racing. In the world of cycling, TJ is one of the brightest stars you will see, and we are not just talking talent. TJ has a personality that glows like the sun, which intern brings life, joy and hope to the sport. Not wanting to conform to the traditional model of cycling teams and sponsorship, TJ created his own team "The Imaginary Collective".
TJ is not just a cyclist though, he is also an amazing professional artist, a businessman, a husband and father.
In this episode, TJ has a very raw and unfiltered conversation with me about the power of meditation, art, and how he has no bad days, only goods ones, and he does his best to inspire others by spreading love and good vibes to everyone he meets.
*Because of how TJ does his best to be true to himself and live life in the moment, I decided this episode will be raw and unedited out of respect for TJ.

Episode #1 Taylor Lideen
The Average Watts Podcast
03/02/20 • 99 min
Thanks for tuning into the first episode of The Average Watts Podcast. In this episode I set down with Taylor Lideen of Phoenix, AZ. Taylor is arguably one of the best ultra-endurance mountain bike and gravel racers in the world. Some of Taylor’s accolades are 2017, 2018 True Grit Epic 100 winner. 2018 Epic Rides 24hrs in the Old Pueblo winner as well as setting the course record with 20 laps. Taylor then went on in 2018 to be second at the 24hr World Championships in Fort Williams, Scotland.
Taylor really opened up in this interview and talked about the way he approaches the sport, and the way his wife, Mary, plays such a pivotal role in his career.
Taylor also talks about how he's suffered with self-doubt, even as a pro, and how he has come back from both physical and mental adversity.
Taylor's one of those guys that completely turns himself inside and out and it's visible. You can look at his Instagram @tlideen and web site www.taylorlideen.com and see some of the photos.

The Average Watts Podcast
12/15/20 • 81 min
In E20, I chat with YouTube personality, Shane Miller aka GPLama. Shane is from Melbourne Australia and is known for his popular YouTube channel “GPLama”.
If you’re at all a cycling fan, and cruise YouTube you’ve no doubt come across videos from Shane Miller, aka GPLama. Shane’s channel covers all things bike tech, but he has become a resident expert on everything in regards to power meters, Zwift and indoor training.
Shane talks to me about how he went from an accomplished amateur cyclist, to making a business out of cycling tech news. Shane also pulls back the curtain to the Lama Lab and shows a back stage view of the lab, and just what goes into producing his YouTube videos, as well as where the name and logo of “GPLama” came from...I bet you will be as surprised as I was.
