Today’s episode highlights Autism and fatherhood. I often hear stories of autism and motherhood. And even though my podcast is called Autism Mom MD, I want to give kudos to all the superhero dads out there who are some of the strongest advocates for individuals with Autism.
My guest today is Rico Winston. Rico is a committee member of the Friends of C.A.R.D also known as the Center for Autism at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, a member of The Spark for Autism Community Advisory Council, and the founder and director of the nonprofit Israel Winston Family Empowerment Corporation. Rico is also one of my classmates in the Arc of Maryland’s Partners in Policymaking Program.
