Chris had long been interested in public speaking and at university he sought out opportunities to stand in front of people and established a club with fellow students to help him learn and practice.

These skills helped him to stand out as a competent communicator during his subsequent career in the hospitality industry. However, seeing just how much his colleagues valued help with their own communications, and how a fear of speaking was holding back some of his brilliant colleagues, he decided to take a leap of faith and start his own business as a speaker coach.

About Sarah Renker

Sarah Renker is a Virtual Assistant and the founder of Renker-Works. She and her team of women strive to support entrepreneurs that are at the beginning of their entrepreneurship. Each team member has their own expertise: Backoffice, Digital Marketing and Web-Design.

Sarah began working as a kindergarten-teacher and social-manager but decided at the age of 38 to start her own business. With her twins only a year old she made it a habit to start working at 4am every day to build the skills needed to help other small businesses. Even now she has more time due to the school schedule of the kids, she still gets up at 4am to prepare the day or work.

Her desire is to encourage and support women that want to start a small business themselves. Even with babies and toddlers this dream can come true.

Trish was a shy child and as an adult worked in a male-dominated fields. She had successful careers, but was not one to stand up and talk, preferring to stay hidden from view.

When she moved to Queensland wanting to make new friends, a friend dragged her along to a Toastmasters meeting - and things changed. She was forced to speak, but found she actually enjoyed it and 26 years later, she is still speaking. In 2006, she started a business, primarily motivated by her love of speaking and training and her decision that she wanted to get compensated for it. Fast-forward to the present, the company she founded has evolved, but she still helps people to speak up and share their stories. Trish helps people in finding the golden opportunities within their companies to market and advertise themselves. She believes that the best person to speak about your business is you!
