For today's Spotlight Episode, I'm excited to welcome Kai Chan to the show. Kai Chan is a social media content creator specializing in fitness, food, travel, and most recently, the outdoor adventure space. Kai quit his corporate job at Target three years ago to become an influencer full-time.
Many people may not know Kai's brother is none other than Leo Chan, the co-host of this podcast and a fellow influencer in the fashion and travel space. Today the two brothers sit down to share their unique journeys into this unconventional path.
In this episode, you can expect to learn about the good and the bad that come with being an influencer.
In this episode, we discuss:
When Kai made the jump into the influencer space
Leo's success as a men's fashion influencer inspired Kai to explore the possibility to become one himself
What does their day-to-day look like
The difference between being an influencer in NY v.s. LA
People can live in San Diego and still claim they are LA influencers
Brand paying Kai to travel all over Asia as part of their partnership
Being able to work with brands they never thought they would work with
Opportunity only comes to those who put in the work
The general public does not support influencer work, and the industry gets a bad rep

[Level Up] - 4 Tips On How To Avoid A Job/Work Burnout And How To Identify If You're Going Through One
Today's podcast is our Level Up (previously called Solo) segment, where we bring you actionable advice and tips to apply in your own life. We want the podcast to not only inspire you but to motivate you to take action.
The topic today will focus on work burnout. What is job/work burnout? Job burnout is a particular type of work-related stress — a state of physical or emotional exhaustion that also involves a sense of reduced accomplishment and loss of personal identity.
Feelings of being overwhelmed, lack of motivation, a negative outlook, decreased sense of satisfaction, accomplishment, and emotional exhaustion can signify that you may be going through burnout. In today's episode, Leo and I share 4 tips on how to avoid being burned out.

[Weekly News Recap Show #69] - David Choe's New TV Show On FX, Simu Liu On The Cover Of Entertainment Weekly, Shohei Ohtani Makes MLB History, And More
Today's episode is a pre-recorded segment from my weekly Instagram Live Wednesday Whiskey News Recap Show for Asian Menswear. The purpose of the show is to update everyone on all of the news they might've missed. The report is centered around all the great things Asian men are doing in the U.S. and worldwide. And why is this important? It's good to provide real examples of Asian men doing more than just stereotypical things to prove we are more than that. I hope you guys enjoy this new segment.
