The Resurrection

What do we celebrate at Easter?

Jesus' resurrection.

Today we will discuss why the resurrection is so important. ASK: Why is it?

I Cor 15:12

12 But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.

Now faith is confidence (substance... foundation) in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. - Hebrews 11:1

Faith Pistis

conviction (coke is better than pepsi, Chevy is superior to Ford, or I will never do drugs) it is having confidence and trust, belief; in the NT of a conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, generally with the included idea of trust and holy fervor born of faith and joined with it

Hope (elpeezō)

To Trust in/ To count on! For salvation with joy and full confidence
