The All Things Overlanding Podcast

Jason Fletcher

The All Things Overlanding Podcast was created to fill a void in Overlanding podcasts. Each episode will cover general Overlanding topics, Overlanding Events and Expos, Vehicle Modifications, and more! My goal is to provide the same great content as I do on YouTube and other platforms for all Overlanders, new or experienced. Top 10 The All Things Overlanding Podcast Episodes

Goodpods has curated a list of the 10 best The All Things Overlanding Podcast episodes, ranked by the number of listens and likes each episode have garnered from our listeners. If you are listening to The All Things Overlanding Podcast for the first time, there's no better place to start than with one of these standout episodes. If you are a fan of the show, vote for your favorite The All Things Overlanding Podcast episode by adding your comments to the episode page.

On this week's episode, I saw a blog article that Trail Built posted on their website which made me think back through all of the different iterations/types of tires I've had on my Xterra.

This will be a really high level overview so if you're a tire pro, this may be pretty basic. However, if you're newer to trying to figure out which tire will work best for your Overlanding application, then this should be a good episode for you.

If you are more experienced, I'd love to hear from you guys in the comments as far as specifically what tires (type, brand, size) that you've used in the past that you would recommend for newer Overlanders!

Here's the link to the article I read that gave me the idea for the episode: https://www.trailbuiltoffroad.com/blogs/277/mt-xt-at-which-one-is-best

The longer I've done Overlanding trips, the more I'm wondering about whether gas or electric makes more sense for my set up. In this week's vlog/podcast, I'm going to talk through the pros and cons of both and which setups each works better with.

There isn't an absolute "best" of the two, in my opinion, but each has its uses depending on your overall rig set up. So, check it out and post up in the comments with your thoughts!

The All Things Overlanding Podcast - Avoiding Common Pitfalls in Overlanding Vehicle Mods + How to Fix Them
play

08/18/24 • 18 min

In this episode of the podcast, I wanted to look back a bit into things like my unistrut roof rack or my Xtrusion bedrack and how I learned a lot on those projects by stepping outside my comfort zone to do something I'd never done.

When doing vehicle modifications or creating your own solutions to overlanding set up challenges, sometimes things go wrong. In this episode, I'm going to share some of the things I've messed up, talk through some tips that I've learned over the years to try to prevent the mistakes, and then some ways to fix them, if they do occur.

If you're scared to do a specific mod because you're worried about potentially messing it up, hopefully this video will help you feel more confident to give it a try and give you a higher percentage chance of success in doing the mod.

If you enjoy the episode, make sure to add the podcast to your favorites and leave a 5 star review!

This week, I have been thinking a lot about whether I prefer Overlanding solo or with friends. There are definitely a lot of pros and cons to each, but I think a lot of it comes down to a few key factors.

In this episode, I'll talk through those pros and cons, which way I lean, and my final thoughts on which option might be right for you based on your preferences.

In this episode of the podcast, I'm going to talk about what I think are the next 3 big trends that will either start or continue throughout 2024. Now that Overlanding has become a bigger thing in the United States, what will happen with the industry? What will happen with the types and quantity of modifications for our vehicles or gear for camping?
