Alexei and Talal welcome future double-Oscar-winner Tom Mayhew to the show to discuss the current state of comedy, the role of the comedian as political influencer and the perception and opportunities of the lower classes in society and entertainment.
We also explore a lot of Alexei's history in comedy (and hip-hop) and debate whether Linda should get her own show.
Tom is a brilliant, left-wing comic currently making big waves in the scene. Series 2 of Tom Mayhew is Benefit Scum comes out on BBC Radio 4 on Wednesday 13th July 2022.
