This was an incredible episode. We get deep into the FBI's CointelPro attack on the Black Panthers. This was the 5th assassination of U.S. left wing leaders in the 1960s. Hampton at 22 years of age was a dynamic charismatic leader and an incredible public speaker who became a national security threat to J. Edgar Hoover. The FBI waged a war on the Panthers that by 1982 eliminated them. Many of Hampton's accomplishments like food drives, Free Breakfast programs and Free medical clinics are still active today.
At the end of the episode, Sean takes a question and destroys a myth and a legend about Carlos Marcello, the Mafia Boss of New Orleans. Sean exposes a 60 year lie that is widely accepted as a fact!
