This week on the show we have Jason Brown from Jelly Smack and we of course get into what Jelly Smack is but we also chat about branding and brand perception, the world of advertisement through the eyes of Jason, and we get into some real-talk about dealing with anxiety and depression. Today on the show we caught up with Ossie Bayram from Ogury a personified advertising engine. We talk about what personified advertisement is, the trials and tribulations of online advertisement brought about GDPR and how Ogury’s early belief in personified advertisement works with GDPR and leaves others in the dust as the most effective form of user profile generation.

Ossie also shares his colourful and varied path to become the managing director of Ogury in particular how his semi-professional football career allows him to drive team spirit and performance into his current role.

Today on the show we have Harry Brundage who has taken his experience in the early years of Shopify seeing it grow from a small Canadian start-up into the go-to e-commerce platform it is today.

We talk to him about how to scale an ecommerce platform that serves many many sites, each dealing with it’s own spiky load that can be triggered by viral sensations and how shopify manages to handle all of that.

Harry finished up as the Director of Engineering for Shopify, and has now founded his own serverless ecommerce platform called Gadget that aims to help you build ecommerce apps in hours, not weeks.

Today on the show we have Taimur Rashid, Chief Business Development Officer of Redis and if you don’t know who Redis are well... shame on you! Only joking, they’re an open-source datastore used by pretty much anyone you can shake a stick at.

In this episode Taimur gives us a whistle stop tour of coming from a computer science degree to AWS, Microsoft and eventually a C-suite member at Redis. We take a trip down memory lane as he saw the very beginnings of AWS and being in meetings with Jeff Bezos and Andy Jassy through to his role at Microsoft and their desire to reshape their culture.
