What is The Creative Impostor?

“Impostor syndrome.” How does it show up for you - self-doubt, hesitation, procrastination, perfectionism, comparison, competition? Or a little gremlin in your head that says, “Who do you think you are? You can’t do THAT!” You have something to share with the world – maybe it’s just the spark of a creative idea or an entire world of inspired vision! This show is all about how to be BOLD and take action, to put your creative work into the world, to have your voice be heard despite all obstacles, fears and doubts. What is Edacious?

edacious (e·da·cious – /iˈdāSHəs/ – adjective. Of, relating to, or given to eating. From the Latin edere, to eat. Synonyms: voracious – gluttonous – ravenous – greedy – piggish.). Edacious is a food-centric podcast for Charlottesville enthusiasts, chefs, producers and purveyors, as well as anyone who is ravenous about food in their region of the world. Every other week I’ll present a topic and then bring in a regionally-based food expert to discuss it. Edacious brings food people together to connect, to actually sit down and talk to one another, rather than just talking about one another through social media. By fostering connection, we can celebrate the bounty that exists not only in our hometown, but throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Featuring Joe from Backtivity

What is Backtivity?

Backtivity is focused exclusively on chronic low back pain – the number ONE cause of disability and time off work worldwide, affecting 4 out of 5 adults and 2 out of 5 pre-teens. It is second only to upper respiratory symptoms among reasons for visits to a physician. Yet, a number of studies have consistently shown that about 1 in 10 chronic back pain sufferers find complete “resolution,” briefly defined as no longer having frequent episodes of pain, no longer taking pain medication, and a return to full functioning. These millions of self-cured individuals are largely hidden from researchers and clinicians. Our approach is to start with the already validated assessment tools and exercises to measure and reduce back pain. We use these to query current and former sufferers to learn what works for them. The self-cured are, in our eyes, the true experts. We will anonymize the data and share it with the community.
