Harry Brook and Joe Root led England to another excellent day as the second test against New Zealand got underway in Wellington. Despite being put into bat and being 21-3, the Yorkshire pair have dominated the home side's bowling attack, both scoring unbeaten centuries at the Basin Reserve to close on 315-3. Jonathan Agnew, Steven Finn and Stephan Shemilt have the story of the day. We hear from Harry Brook on what he’s achieved so far and the next personal record he now has his eyes firmly set on. England made to work hard after New Zealand follow on
New Zealand will start the 4th day of the second test in Wellington following on with a score of 202-3, still 24 runs behind. Despite a blistering knock from New Zealand captain Tim Southee, at the start of day three, England were able to make them bat again. First innings total of 209 was 226 runs behind. But a follow on fight back led by openers Devon Conway and Tom Latham, frustrated England and although they finally got their breakthrough in the final session they still have a lot of work to do in order to win the test. Correspondent Jonathan Agnew, Chief Cricket Writer Stephan Shemilt and former England bowler Steven Finn look back at the day. We also hear from the coach of England’s women team, Jon Lewis after their semifinal defeat in the World T20 in South Africa.
