Why did you start this show?

Ty started this show after he left country radio because he was tired of watching quality artists not get a shot because they hadn't sold their soul to a record label. He created Tee Party because he believes the most important part of country music is the story and there aren't nearly enough places that songwriters can tell their story and connect with the audience in such an intimate way. We stick true to our motto in every episode with New friends & New Music!

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

When someone finishes and episode of the Tee Party Podcast, no matter who the guest is, we hope that they walk away having learned something new about the guest. We hope the guests walk away having learning something new about themselves. We end every show by asking the guest what they hope a listener will take away from the show. This allows the guest to cut through all of the noise and share their true purpose with the audience.

Which episode should someone start with?

This can be answered in a couple of ways. Listen to Episode 100 (or 101) to get an impression of our style. Listen to Episodes with our voice talent (Gwinn, Episode 2) or music director (Jesse Quandt, multiple) to get an impression of our team Listen to episodes with Ty's friends like Cort Carpenter, Chris Ferrara, Jesse Quandt, Jason Nix) to get to know Ty Listen to episodes with Priscilla Block (ep. 17) or Alexandra Kay (35) to hear them before they were big!

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

My favorite episodes are when I feel like the artist has learned something about themselves or has something unique to share. Speaking with contestants from reality shows is one of my favorite things. Jesslee, Carson Peters, Tyler Braden, Alexandra Kay all fall into that category. Personally, I love episode 2 with J. Gwinn. To me anything after episode 50 sounds better than anything before. I recommend starting with episode 100! - Ty Host

Which episode are you most proud of?

We are extremely proud of episode 100, both for what it represents and the guest. We are also proud of our "on location" episodes because they represent our ability to help promote these artists.

What is your vision for your show?

Our goal is to introduce the audience to New Friends and New Music every time they turn on a new episode. We aim to provide a place for artist to introduce themselves and their stories to a new group of potential fans. We're about more than the just the music, we want to appreciate the indivual who created it and help spread their story and message.

What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?

We love B4Nashville. George does an outstanding job at research and conversation. They have a similar goal and mission to our platform. Arm Chair Expert is a favorite of ours because of the research and questions from Dax.

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

Ty's initials are T - P. "T' Party felt strange and Ty is a huge sports fan. Tea Party felt like it wasn't conveying the right message Tee Party was born.

Tell us a bit about yourself

Ty has a passion for country music, and music in general. Country music tells stories and connects with an audience like no other form of music can. Ty's favorite way to enjoy music is by watching writer's rounds or guitar pulls because that's where the music comes alive.
