Technically A Conversation
11/27/23 • 44 min
Thanksgiving is coming around and we’re diving into the woman who made this National Holiday possible, after trying for over 3 decades. November is also American Indian Heritage month so we’ll also learn how Thanksgiving customs go back to not just natives in America but in Asia.

Kenneth, What Is The Frequency? The 1986 Attack of Dan Rather
Technically A Conversation
09/16/24 • 37 min
In 1986 CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather was attacked by 2 men. As he was being punched and kicked one of the attackers kept shouting “Kenneth, what is the frequency?!” As leads on the attackers went cold, this seemingly random act of violence was chalked up to mistaken identity. When REM released the single “What Is The Frequency, Kenneth?” in 1994, there was a renewed interest in the case, but there were no additional leads, until the shooting of an NBC employee would bring out a confession. This week, we’ll discuss who the man that attacked Dan Rather was, if this really was a case of mistaken identity, and what was meant by Kenneth, what is the frequency?

The Brazen Bull: A New Level Of Torture & Cruelty
Technically A Conversation
09/04/23 • 31 min
The Brazen Bull was a hollow brass bull allegedly used by King Phalaris to torture his subjects in the most sadistic imaginable way. A victim was placed in the bull while a fire was lit beneath it, roasting them alive. Their cries and screams mimicked the sound of the bull as they resonated in the horns and whistles inside. But, was there any truth to this myth? Today, we’ll discuss the origins of this melodic torture device, the fate of its inventor, and the evidence supporting this legend!
