Tapping into...with Sarah Tobin - S5: Ep 12 - Tapping into the Moon with Kirsty Gallagher
play

11/28/23 • 76 min

In this special episode of Season 5 of the Tapping into Podcast, I chat with Kirsty Gallagher, moon mentor, soul alignment and spiritual coach, yoga teacher, meditation teacher and Sunday Times bestselling author.

Kirsty shares with us her path to becoming a moon mentor and sharing astrology with a huge audience. We discuss how integral we are in the cycles of the world and universe and that we also have a responsibility within ourselves to ourselves. Hear how our souls are meant to be here at this time and how you can decide what difference we want to make. Kirsty shares with us why we can use the moon to aid our manifestations and growth. We learn how to get started and what to do during different phases of the moon.

Key takeaways:

  • Death can be a catalyst for really living life
  • We can feel that we don’t have the ability to make different choices but we do power of choice even in small ways
  • We often look outwards to the universe to trust in but we can also have trust inwards in ourselves
  • Most of us are aware of our sun sign which represents how we show up and shine, but we also have a moon sign which encompasses who you are on the inside
  • New year resolutions can be setting yourself up for failure so it is better to wait for the Spring Equinox.

At the end, we chat about Kirsty’s new book ‘The Goddess Path’ which is out in March next year but on pre-order already from all good bookstores. I’m so excited to go deeper with this new book.

I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.

In this week’s episode I chat with Kate Moryoussef, an ADHD Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coach. Kate is also a fellow EFT practitioner, and we have such a great chat about EFT and how impactful it is for ADHD.

Kate shares with us that prior to her ADHD diagnosis she always felt disregulated and struggled with worry, overwhelm and catastrophising. Her diagnosis put all of this into a new frame. Both Kate and her children are neurodivergent which give her a unique view on how she can support women to create more balance for themselves and overcome their dysregulation.

Key takeaways:

  • ADHD is not really a deficit or a disorder, this label is incredibly misleading
  • A diagnosis is like a compass for someone to come to what works for them and what doesn’t
  • Understanding that your brain works differently can be incredibly helpful in increasing self-esteem and self-understanding
  • It is normal to look back and grieve your lost life when you receive a diagnosis

I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.

In this week’s episode, I chat with Emma Mumford, the UK’s leading law of attraction expert about all things related to manifesting and creating a life that you love. This episode is filled with beautiful examples of manifestation and makes it feel so accessible for all.

Emma shares with us her journey from her couponing business to being a law of attraction expert knowing that it was time for a change and to support people in a different way. When she discovered the law of attraction it felt like a remembering rather than new learning. She shares some of her manifestation wins, the power of a morning routine and the importance of being open to possibility.

Key takeaways:

  • You don’t have to be fully healed from trauma to manifest your dreams
  • Taking aligned and inspired action is important
  • When we obsess and attach we are pushing what we are wanting further away
  • There is a divine time for everything and we can be open to possibility

I AM Awake Tapping Meditation – to aid ascension symptoms and embody more light

What does it mean to 'Awaken'?
What does it mean to 'Ascend'?
A lot of people are experiencing physical tension, symptoms and fear in their bodies that are actually linked to Ascension. Some people are aware of this and know exactly what it means whereas for the majority this term is quite new, and we may not consciously know what it means.

Ascension means to rise up – often we can also say ‘awaken’. I do my best to explain ‘ascension’ in simple terms for those who are very new to this. I take you through common ascension symptoms and then lead a guided tapping meditation to help us release the fear and anxiety that rises when we experience these symptoms, to encourage our subconscious or ego to let go and to allow the energy deep into every cell in our body, to aid our transition and make it as gentle as possible.

In this week’s episode I chat with Dr Kim D’Eramo, a physician and bestselling author of the Mindbody Toolkit. I know you will find this conversation with Kim so impactful as she weaves her knowledge of being a modern doctor with Mindbody medicine.

Dr Kim draws the distinction between the work a physician working in the ER is able to do supporting the physical symptoms of disease and trauma and compares it to work that can be undertaken on more long term illnesses. We discuss neuroscience and how our beliefs hold power over our mind and body and how holistic methods can support us in our mission to heal. We look at why we are getting sicker and sicker and some of the ways we can start to reverse this.

Key takeaways:

  • Just because there is a physical illness does not mean that you need something physical to resolve it
  • The beliefs we hold in our subconscious can often be the source of our long term conditions
  • Everything has energy and everything has consciousness
  • Every time you have a thought there is a transmission that is felt throughout your whole body

I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.

In this week’s episode, I chat with Niall Ó Murchú, a breathwork teacher, author and a certified level 3 Wim Hoff instructor. Niall is well known for breathwork and ice baths and is here to share with us today all elements of his work.

Niall shares with us his own difficult relationship with the breath both at birth and with a personal history of asthma. He opens up our understanding of why it is important to have awareness of our breathing and the improvements we can experience by taking the time out to slow down. We also explore ways that resistance to breathing can signify a subconscious resistance to change.

Key takeaways:

  • Our breath reflects our emotions at any moment
  • Breathing practices help us to slow down and do nothing other than enjoy the sacred
  • Breathwork can easily be done by children and teenagers and can have a powerful impact
  • The cold water experience is all about practising the breath.
  • Emotional health is often overlooked and we need to start to raise our awareness of it
  • Awareness of our breath gives us space to see our reaction before we react

Niall’s passion to bring awareness of breathwork to all ages is inspiring. His practices for children and teenagers and adults ensure that the breath is put at the forefront of our thinking at all stages of our life and his approach surely will make a profound difference.

In this week’s episode I chat with Sarah Williamson, founder of WomenWise, a company on a mission to help women understand the complexities of menopause and midlife health. So, it’s no surprise that today we will be talking all things perimenopause and menopause.

In this conversation we talk about the non linear and non identical journey through menopause. What I love about Sarah’s approach is that she truly believes that women should trust their intuition when it comes to this season of their life and make the choices that are best for them. We hear some of the natural ways to support you during perimenopause and also consider the more medical approach. Wherever you sit in terms of your views on this topic there will be something for you.

Key takeaways:

  • Perimenopause is a natural transition
  • Menopause lasts for only one day and yet we use the word as if it covers our entire transition through perimenopause
  • There is a lot of natural support from mother nature herself
  • Our bodies truly want to be centred but they might need a little bit of help
  • There is no right or wrong way to choose the support you need, only trust in your intuition

I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.

Tapping into...with Sarah Tobin - S4: E8 - Tapping into Ritual with Emily Quinton
play

08/21/22 • 77 min

In this week’s episode, I chat with Emily Quinton who is a dear friend of mine and I am so honoured to talk with her and share her wisdom with you all.

As a Mum to four neurodivergent children Emily has created herself a powerful set of daily rituals that ensure she has the energy and grounding to cope with both the knowns and unknowns of her life. Emily shares with us her daily rituals where she creates space for herself in the simplest of ways making it achievable, whilst also weaving the sacred into the everyday. This conversation follows on so beautifully from last week's chat with Rebecca Campbell (episode 7).

We discuss the difference intention setting can make each day, the impact of self-awareness and responding to that awareness with kindness. Let us take you on a journey to consider how some of these rituals could influence your life positively.

Key takeaways:

  • Your daily rituals can be as simple and manageable as you need them to be.
  • Intention setting daily is powerful, especially in those moments where you are feeling negative emotions as you can come back to your intention to support you in that moment.
  • By just adding the self-affirmations ‘I love you, I am worthy’ to your day you are starting to create your own ritual.
  • Sometimes within a neurodivergent family you need to accept that some things might not change and figure out how you can live with it or if there are situations that you can impact to find the system required and develop it.
  • By nourishing your own foundations you can be grounded to be what you want and need to be for yourself and your family.

I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.

About Emily:

Emily Quinton is an author, speaker and creative who is happiest when surrounded by nature, especially flowers. She lives in Somerset with her husband Stef, their four highly sensitive/neurodivergent children and their dog Yuki.

Emily is currently writing her second book, preparing her new series of workshops, developing a membership community of parents of highly sensitive children, studying psychology and listening to the flowers in her garden and on her daily walks.

Tapping into...with Sarah Tobin - S3: E8 - Tapping into Exercise with Kelley Connor Walsh
play

04/24/22 • 73 min

In the last episode of Season 3, I chat to my friend and 'something in-law' Kelley Connor Walsh!

Kelley runs her own business supporting women through Exercise but she goes much deeper than that helping them to transform their lives in body, mind and soul.

Key takeaways:

  • Kelley talks to us about her childhood and her introduction to exercise as a means to support herself mentally and to help her with the grief of losing her Dad age 26
  • She changed her career with a focus on helping people use exercise to help them deal with difficult things in their lives and to help people release the belief that exercise is a punishment
  • Physical and mental burnout came as Kelley had a lot on her plate looking after her mum and starting a new career, and doing 8 exercise classes a day.
  • Constant Fight, Flight, Freeze caused Kelley to not have a period for three years
  • A single traumatic event threw Kelley into a major emotional burnout where she couldn't do anything, which led her to start therapy
  • Lockdown forced Kelley to reinvent herself and allowed her to break out of the big gym she ran leading to The Wellness Hub in her back garden
  • Kelley shares the spiritual side of herself and has leant on that in the last year with the unfortunate loss of her Mam
  • We discuss the loneliness of grief and how she is managing to move through it
  • She shares her tips for success with intentions, meditation, breathwork, nature walks, eating right, exercising well, mindfulness practises
  • The lesson her Mam taught her and how Kelley is now able to teach that to other women
  • Go back to basics and make small changes to make them habit - protein at every meal, lots of fibre, hydrate starting at the beginning of the day, figure out ways to reduce stress (tapping, breathing, journaling, gratitude etc), and as much sleep as you can!

About Kelley:
Kelley is a Personal Trainer, Life Coach, Accountability and Performance Coach. She has been a personal trainer for over 15 years resulting in her opening her own gym in 2012. The pandemic gave her an opportunity to change her business model and make changes to her goals leading her to create The Concept her online transformation program and The Wellness Hub in her back garden. Tapping into...with Sarah Tobin - S4: E5 - Tapping into Flower Essences with Saskia Marjoram
play

07/31/22 • 61 min

In this week’s episode, I chat with Saskia Marjoram who is the creator of Saskia’s Flower Essences.

Through her flower essences, Saskia helps people to shift a range of emotional states and behaviours. I am so excited to share the conversation with you as I have been using Saskia’s flower essences both myself and with my boys for a while now.

Saskia has been working with flower essences for over 15 years after her and friend decided to develop their own flower essence range. They had been using flower essences from an Australian brand but with Saskia’s history with flowers she realised that she wanted to know exactly what the flowers were rather than an ingredient that wasn’t common in the UK. This was how her new product was born.

You can hear us talk about the history of flower essences starting with indigenous uses through to Dr Bach packaging flower essences in the 1930’s. We discuss the energetic frequencies of flowers and their properties and how you can know if they are working for you. We also talk about the benefits for both children and adults. Saskia also shares with us how to dowse which can be so helpful in choosing which combination of essences you want to use.

Key takeaways:

  • The essence is the vibration of the plant held in liquid. It can change your internal frequency
  • With the right flower essence, change can happen really quickly, especially with children
  • Flower essences do not need to be used on their own, they work really well alongside other modalities
  • If you are looking to start using flower essences the combination essences are a really good place to begin
  • Taking flower essences is different to taking medicine, it’s much more like having a relationship with that plant.

Saskia has kindly given listeners of the podcast a 10% discount code so if you type TAPPING at checkout you can benefit from this.

I hope you enjoy this conversation and take away so much from it.

About Saskia:
Saskia has been working with flowers at different levels for her whole life. As a professional gardener for more than 30 years, and florist to HRH Prince of Wales for many years she started making flower essences in 2003 with her friend and business partner for a long time after they discovered how incredibly effective and simple they are to make and desperately needed them for themselves and their families. She is continually fascinated by how plants and humans interact and the wisdom they have to share with us. Her deep love, friendship and knowledge of the flowers have continued to grow as she discovers just how powerfully their energy affects and interacts with us.

About Sarah:

Sarah is an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping Practitioner and Trainer based in the UK but originally from Dublin, Ireland. After the loss of her daughter Alice, in November 2014, suffering from severe PTSD and anxiety, she became pregnant again. This led her to seek help from a local EFT Practitioner. This technique completely transformed her life and she is now dedicated to supporting as many people as possible to let go of their trauma, grief, limiting beliefs and negative emotions, so they can live a heart-based, joy-filled life.

Sarah has a thriving Tapping into You Membership + Community with members all over the world - the doors are open right now. Find out more here>

Take her 'Motherhood Self-Care Toolkit Quiz' to find out which part of your life needs some self-care attention. Take the Quiz>

She runs retreats, works with clients 1:1 and is also a Trainer, teaching people to become EFT Practitioners.
