Tales Yet Told is an award-winning Actual Play podcast, focused on collaboratively telling stories at the intersection of queerness and horror using Indie TTRPGs. Our stories center on troubled characters struggling to be true to themselves in uncompromising worlds that would rather bend and break them than allow them to exist as they are. From cold-hearted killers driving down school hallways to naval soldiers rising from the depths of the ocean, Tales Yet Told is filled with heart-wrenching drama, hair-raising body horror, and enough humor in between to light the darkness. As our crew closes in on Sergio and the Pirate Lord's map, it becomes clear that the Painted Fleet and the Blue Coats are all converging on it as well. Stakes are raised, weapons are drawn, and there's a hell of a lot of running away.

The Many Phases of the Day
Estefania De Alabastro
The many phases of the day
Effect upon the land their sway,
Its wayward myth inspires change
And by its grace, our lives arrange,
As the sun climbs to its peak
Shadows hide from blinding streaks,
A warrior clad in gold and shine
Rising from the murky brine,
In the dawn his eyes reveal
A quickened smile, A scar yet healed,
And though he's slow to ascend
His Giant's Might never bends,
Then come noon, he finds the height
At which he stands, halfway from night,
From his throne, he sits and waits
As we stumble about our fates,
As he nears his waning phase
The final touch of those luminous rays,
Dusk returns, as he descends
To bring the ones below their ends,
Before he dips just out of sight
Is we see his sword alight,
An orange and violet fiery blaze,
A canvas color inevitably fades,

Darkness grows across the land
The warrior takes another stand,
By grace of gods, this wheel turns,
As we pray, the warrior returns

Our Crew of the Bois Perdu docks in the majestic Merchant's House of Paraiso Eliminado. Food, drink, and pleasure are not on the agenda this time. Rather, their sights are set on a merchant named Sergio and the treasure he's reportedly trying to trade.

------------------------------------------------

To my dearest Captain Hano,

My thorned rose, if the whispers that dance to me on the waves of the sea speak truth, then you and your crew have indeed survived. If that is the case then I send up every song in my heart to the Goddess that this letter reaches you safely. My mind reels imagining what feats of swashbuckling daring-do you managed to pull off allowing your escape from those blasted Bluecoats. What I would give to one-day bear witness to such skill and panache. Though I fear with my constitution in the state that it is, the mere sight of blood would see me laid out upon the deck like the many fools who meet the business end of your trident.

Forgive me, for I seem to have found myself rambling. I know how your days and nights are filled with endless adventures. So, I will neither waste words nor ink and find myself to the point swiftly.

There is a deal taking place in Paraiso Encontrado on the 13th of Blooming Tides. A merchant by the name of Sergio Diez De Laton has been making waves around the Shark's Tidepools recently. He's Petite Espenoran nobility, known for his ever-growing collection of "Pirate History". He apparently considers himself an academic of a sort. Recently he's been searching for a buyer for one of many objects in his prized personal collection, an unusual circumstance.

Not sure what the item is specifically, but word has it that it once belonged to one of the old Pirate Lords. And I mean one of the OLD Pirate Lords. One of the first. If this is the case then I would say it's most likely better in your hands than theirs or their buyers.

I won't lie, I yearn for the whispers I'm sure to hear if you choose to act on this information. Tales of intrigue and insidious skullduggery. They'll act as a fleeting panacea to dull the agonizing pain of being so far from your tender touch.

Forever yours,
Lady Brienne Campbell

Our crew faces off against Capt. Gabriella and the Bluecoats as they try to bargain with Estefania of the Painted Fleet for the map they came here for. Unluckily for them, the poetic pirate has a few tricks up her surprisingly dry sleeves. Will Brynn be able to hold off the Navy in time for everyone else to make it back to the ship? Will Felix succumb to his darker desires? Find out this week, on Whispers in the Sea.

UNION NAVY BOUND

Composed by: High Principal Tullio Lotto

Performed by: The Union Choir

To the Tune of Lieutenant Baker

We are Union Navy Bound,
We all fight, for no one crown.
Raise your fists and everybody shout,
Hooray! Hoorah! We’re Union Bound!

Sailing the sea from edge to edge,
Protecting our homes, that is our pledge.
Raise your flasks and everybody shout,
Hooray! Hoorah! We’re Union Bound!

Chorus (x2)
From our motherlands we joined,
Fighting for honor, not blood nor coin.
Marching towards a future bright
Where our children do not fight

We are Union Navy Bound,
We all fight until they’re drowned.
Raise your swords and everybody shout,
Hooray! Hoorah! We’re Union Bound!

Pirate scum, they deal in fear,
By our might, the seas are clear
Raise your anchors and everybody shout,
Hooray! Hoorah! We’re Union Bound!

Chorus (x2)
From our motherlands, we joined,
Fighting for honor, not blood nor coin
Marching towards a future bright
Where our children do not fight

We are Union Navy Bound,
We all fight, for no one crown.
Raise your sails and everybody shout,
Hooray! Hoorah! We’re Union Bound!

We’re Union Bound!
