To find out more about how low-code and no-code can help supply chains I invited Gabriel Paunescu, CEO of Naologic, a no-code enterprise SaaS platform to come on the podcast to have a quick chat about this.
We had an excellent conversation and, as is often the case, I learned loads, I hope you do too...

East Meets West: The Impact of ESG on Asian Manufacturing
Sustainable Supply Chain
05/13/24 • 43 min
In this episode of the Sustainable Supply Chain Podcast, I sit down with JP Stevenson, Director of ESG Analytics at Global Assurance company LRQA, to delve into the intricate world of global supply chain management. We explore the evolving landscape of ESG compliance, the vital role of digitalisation in achieving transparency, and the imperative for systemic reforms.
JP sheds light on the challenges factories, particularly in Asia, face in aligning with diverse global regulations. He emphasises the uneven distribution of financial resources and expertise, which disproportionately affects smaller enterprises, leaving them vulnerable in a fast-evolving regulatory environment. Our discussion also touches on the innovative strategies factories are employing to navigate the energy transition and improve operational efficiency.
A significant focus of our conversation revolves around the need for a shift in the financial dynamics between suppliers and buyers to facilitate genuine capacity building. JP argues that a more balanced approach to these relationships is crucial, underpinning it with a call for local governments and financial institutions to play a more proactive role in supporting factories' compliance efforts.
Tune in to gain insights into the complexities of supply chain sustainability and the collaborative efforts required to foster ethical, efficient, and environmentally conscious practices. Whether you're a professional in the field or simply interested in the future of global

The impact of Covid on logistics - a chat with A. Duie Pyle's John Tillison
Sustainable Supply Chain
11/23/20 • 23 min
One aspect of the supply chain I haven't talked about for a while is logistics, so I invited John Tillison onto the podcast. John is Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing for A. Duie Pyle, a US based logistics company. We talked about the impact of the pandemic on the logistics industry.
Also, because A. Duie Pyle has been recently recognised by Heavy Duty Trucking for having one of the Top Green Fleets, for the 5th year in a row, we talked about some of their hybrid, and electric trucks.
This was a really interesting episode of the podcast. I thoroughly enjoyed it, I learned loads, and I hope you do too.

Global manufacturer of machines for the automotive sector Index Werke recently rolled out a new Industry 4.0 powered platform for their customers called iXworld (using SAP Industry 4.0 solutions!).
To hear more about this innovative digital transformation, I invited Index' iXworld Product Manager Katharina Piesche to come on the podcast to tell us more about it. Product Lifecycle Costing - a chat with Manthan Peshne
Sustainable Supply Chain
11/09/20 • 24 min
Setting the price of a product is crucial to its success. Set the price too low, and you can incur losses with every sale, set the price too high and you may fail to make sales. So having a tool to help you set the correct price is invaluable - enter Product Lifecycle Costing (PLC).
In this podcast I chat with Manthan Peshne, product lead for PLC to find out how Product Lifecycle Costing can help organisations set the right price. This is especially complex where manufacturing, and sales are globally distributed!
Manthan was very patient with my lack of knowledge of the product, or the opportunity, and explained it to me in very small words (!) which much appreciated.

Climate and supply chain risk - a chat with Jacob Shapiro
Sustainable Supply Chain
02/15/21 • 38 min
In the last episode of the podcast David Vallejo talked about Supply Chain Planning, and how that is changing. In this episode, I wanted to dig in a little deeper into some of the reasons why Planning is important - global volatility, both geopolitical, and climactic, and the relationship between the two.
So, I invited Jacob Shapiro to come back on the podcast to talk about these issues. Jacob is the Founder and Chief Strategist at Perch Perspectives, as well as the host of the Perch Pod podcast.
Given the crossover with the Climate 21 podcast, I decided to make this a two-for. This is not the entire conversation we recorded. I cut out some of the more climate related info, and left in the more supply chain details. Obviously, I'll reverse that when I publish this on the Climate 21 podcast this coming Wednesday.
As you will see listening to this, we had a great time making this episode. I hope you enjoy listening to it.
