Greyhound Leader to Trap One - Greyhound Leader to Trap One
In this episode we're tackling Tom Baker's first story as the 4th Doctor - Robot. Written by Terrance Dicks.
While a mystery is a fantastic idea, it would be neat if it wasn't such an obvious one. In this episode we go through Robot, as well as the evil Science Reform Society (SRS) - That is, if you can call 10 people a Society.

The Doctor's latest regeneration has proven more unstable than his previous ones. His two companions, Tegan and Nyssa, try to help him recuperate on the tranquil planet of Castrovalva.

Adric has been captured by the Master, who is taking advantage of the Doctor's weakened state to ensnare him in an elaborate trap whose recursive nature threatens to destroy his mind.

As the Doctor begins to recover he realizes that the Master's trap for Adric is even more intricate than he could have imagined and that he will stop at nothing to gain his revenge over the Doctor.

At last we've hit the 1970's AND Doctor Who in full color! Jon Pertwee begins his tenure as the Doctor, in this exciting opening story about defending Britain...well "The Earth" from an invasion by the Autons and the Nestene Intelligence.

It's one of Pertwee's better adventure stories, and it just happens to be his first one! How lucky are we?!

Thanks for joining me on this adventure of exploring the Alpha and Omega stories of the first seven Doctors! In this episode, we focus on the one that had to get it right - The Power of the Daleks.

No pressure, just the entire franchise depended on the opening story of Patrick Troughton.

After landing near an Earth colony on the planet Vulcan, the Doctor, Ben & Polly find themselves in the middle of a mystery over the death of an Examiner from Earth. Soon they find themselves in the midst of a power struggle over the colony with some not-so servient Daleks involved.

I go through a synopsis of the story, and give it my thoughts. This is only half the conversation though - please submit feedback to [email protected] to let me know what YOU thought of The Power of the Daleks.

Do you agree with my rating? What did you enjoy or dislike about it?

In this story, the neo-Nazi De Flores (Anton Diffring), the 17th-century sorceress Lady Peinforte (Fiona Walker), and the Cyberman vie for control of the Nemesis, a statue containing a living metal which crash-landed near Windsor Castle in 1988.

After landing near the Snowcap base in the Antarctica, the Doctor, Ben & Polly find themselves embroiled in an international situation involving a mysterious planet and an energy drain on the Earth itself! Plus Cybermen! Plus the first regeneration!

I came out of the story with a few questions of my own, along with one from email.

I also give a little background to more of the creation of the Cybermen, along with some suggestions for my top 3 list of Cybermen stories in the first 7 Doctors.

What are YOUR favorite Cybermen adventures? I'd love to know!
