People have been asking us questions about TikTok Live and the Aitum Vertical plugin for OBS Studio and Instagram Live Producer so we figured this would be a good time to revisit the subject. We're talking all things Vertical Livestreaming this week on The Video and Livestreaming Show. Got questions? Let us know. Join us! #Vertical #Livestreaming #Livestream FAQ - Common Questions about Verticle Streaming Question: "Should I stream vertically or horizontally, and why?" Answer: It depends on what you're showing! If you're sharing a big scene or lots of people, horizontal is usually better. But if it's just you or something small, vertical can work great! Question: "What tools can I use for vertical streaming?" Answer: You can use cool stuff like OBS Studio, StreamYard, or Restream. They help make your stream look awesome! Most platforms also have their own in-app streaming ability. Question: "Is it better to stream via phone, computer, or another device?" Answer: You can use your phone, computer, or even a tablet. Just pick what's easiest for you to use! Though a lot of "experts" will tell you that using the in-app tools often give you a boost in the algorithm. Question: "How can I stream on TikTok and utilize the Aitum Vertical plugin for OBS Studio?" Answer: TikTok is fun! And if you want to make your stream even cooler, you can use the Aitum Vertical plugin with OBS Studio. It's like adding special effects to your stream! You'll have to join us live for a step by step guide to making that work. (same for Instagram) Question: "What are the differences between vertical streaming platforms like TikTok Live and Instagram Live Producer?" Answer: TikTok and Instagram are both cool places to stream, but they're a little different. TikTok is more about short, fun videos, while Instagram is great for sharing moments with friends. Question: "What are the benefits and drawbacks of vertical livestreaming?" Answer: Vertical streaming is great because it's easy to watch on your phone! But sometimes, you might miss out on seeing everything if it's too tall. Question: "How do I optimize my livestream setup for vertical video?" Answer: Make sure your camera is straight up and down, and don't forget good lighting! You want everyone to see you clearly. Question: "What are the recommended image sizes for vertical stream overlays?" Answer: Your overlays should be just the right size, not too big or small. It helps keep everything looking neat and tidy! Question: "Are there specific techniques for engaging viewers during vertical livestreams?" Answer: Yep! You can ask questions, play games, or even tell jokes! Just have fun and make sure to talk to your viewers. They love it when you chat with them!
