Strange and Beautiful Book Club

Matt and I delve into the dubiously donned "Best vampire movie ever made." We watched and review two versions of the film both restored and unrestored. It's not perfect but for a first episode, we'll take it! Bonus points for anyone who can spot Pippin the Cat's cameos of which there are many. "Nosferatu (1922)" is in the public domain and is available for watching in tons of places. We rented a version from Amazon and watched one for free on Plex. Next episode we will be discussing "The Shadow of the Vampire (2000)" so make sure to watch it ahead of time if spoilers aren't your thing. For future episode updates and perks (most still under construction so pardon our dust) follow us at Strange and Beautiful Book Club on Patreon and Instagram. Email us at [email protected] and be sure to put "Suggestion" in the subject if that's what you're sending our way. Catch ya'll next time! S&B

Got two episodes out before Thanksgiving sweeps us all into it's nebulous, gluttonous orbit. Planning to return next week with a review of the OG Highlander (1986). If you haven't yet watched the fantasy epic about sword wielding immortals hacking away at each other to the sweet, sweet sound of Queen then you are in for a treat, friend. We will also start a weekly review of the Forever Knight TV show, one episode at a time. The first two seasons of Forever Knight are streaming but the third season may require you to dust off that DVD player. Trust me, it's going to be worth it.
