*part of a special series for Filipino-American History month.*
With October being Filipino-American History month, my conversations have centered around this unique experience Filipino Americans have lived. If possible, I am even more in awe of my parents, my grandparents, my ancestors. It becomes even more important that Filipino Americans register and vote. And if possible Vote early.

One of the creators I spoke to, the other actually, is Ezrah Lasola-Tuble, blogger at I Heart Romance. We talk about her work as a blogger and bookstagramer for romance, and how her creative work is the perfect bookend to her job as a registered nurse. She has such great advice about how to fill the well. And you’ll hear me gush at how many books she reads a year!

Welcome to episode 43 of the Stories to Love podcast and here with me today is Annie Rains.

USA Today bestselling author Annie Rains lives in a small, coastal North Carolina town, full of lovable folks, scenic downtown areas, and breathtaking nature—similar to the towns she writes about in her books. Annie’s love of reading and writing grabbed hold of her at a young age and never let go. Her first book was published in 2015, and she’s been writing heartfelt, page-turning stories ever since. When Annie isn’t writing, she’s reading from her never-ending TBR stack on her bedside table, taking long walks while plotting her characters’ happy endings, and living out her own happily ever after with her husband, three children, feisty rescue cat, and mischievous dog.

I’m so excited to have Annie on the podcast today as part of the April 5 release day blitz. I have a book release today—KNOW YOU BY HEART which is a contemporary romance, and she’s one of my author friends who released a book at the same time I as did! Her new release is called The Matchbreaker Summer. In this episode, we discussed our summer experiences, writing YA for the first time, and the difference between our childhood and our children's childhood, and how she manages writing with her day job. We also commiserate about TikTok!

Welcome to the Stories to Love podcast. This is episode 52. My guest today is author Suzanne Park.

Suzanne Park is a Korean American writer who was born and raised in Tennessee.

In her former life as a stand up comedian, Suzanne appeared on BET's "Coming to the Stage," was the winner of the Seattle Sierra Mist Comedy Competition, and was a semi-finalist in NBC's "Stand Up For Diversity" showcase in San Francisco.

Suzanne graduated from Columbia University and received an MBA Degree from UCLA. Her novels have been featured in “best of” lists in NPR, Popsugar, Real Simple, Country Living, Bustle, Buzzfeed, Marie Claire, Parade, Shondaland and The Today Show.

In this episode we discussed her most recent work: The Christmas Clash. We discussed finding the inspiration of her book within her small town, the shades of grumpy and sunshine characters, the nuances of generations of immigrants and birth orders, the pressure of representation, and doing something new in each one of her books. We also talked about her time in stand up comedy.

Suzanne and I had a fantastic conversation—my goodness, I laughed so much!

Chandra Blumberg writes funny, heartwarming love stories about characters that feel real and relatable. Born and raised in Michigan, Chandra moved to the Chicago area after majoring in English at Michigan State University. In this episode we discussed her debut DIGGING UP LOVE which came out January 1 of this year, her dinosaur research, her mom-oir, and writing unapologetically muscular women in romance.

Welcome to Episode 4!
This week we have Angelina M. Lopez ( http://www.angelinamlopez.com ), author of the the Filthy Rich series. This is a romance series with high heat and high stakes that I love so much. I interviewed Angelina about three weeks ago. In the episode we talk about her long journey toward publication—about two decades—managing expectations, and her personal experience in her family’s vineyard that informed the setting of her series.
Before the conversation, Tif talks about her son's 18th birthday, and her reminder that not only is there a short game, but a long game, too.
