Today Pastor Glen Thomas looks at the readings for Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost, Series A in the Three Year Lectionary. Forgiveness is the theme for this Sunday’s Old Testament lesson as Joseph forgives his brothers and also for the Gospel lesson as Jesus tells the parable of the unforgiving servant. In the Epistle lesson, Paul describes how Christians should not argue over items that are neither commanded nor rejected in Scripture and are just opinions.
