We often do not ask for the things we need the most. On the flip side, don't over spiritualize problems. We should work on real human problems that we have. We need God to be part of the equation, but we can't say "I just thought God would take care of me."
We have to ask repeatedly for God's will to to be our will. Things will change in your life when we ask for what we need.
