Specter Cinema Club

DeVaughn Taylor

The ghosts of your horror movie club explore a different sub-genre each month! Featuring creators from the spooky community, stoner filmmaker DeVaughn Taylor & film journalist Garrett McDowell discuss the recurring motifs of various sub-genres and what makes the best genre films work. New episodes every Tuesday! NOTE: We recommend starting at Season 2 (Ep60) as that's when Garrett joined and began our current format. Season 1 was the experimental phase haha NOTE: The first 99 episodes, we were under "Bloody Blunts" however the show didn't change, so Season 3 is where we continued as "Specter Cinema"

Specter Cinema Club - Bloody Blunts Cinema Club: TRAILER
play

06/04/20 • 1 min

Enjoy the trailer for the Bloody Blunts Cinema Club! Every Tuesday, join me (DeVaughn Taylor) as I get high and breakdown all my favorite horror/genre films: whether it be one movie, two, or a whole franchise. Aside from the occasional guests, the Bloody Blunts Cinema Club is meant to be an intimate experience: just you & I smoking a J, chatting about weird movies (except I'm the one doing all the talking but trust me, I have enough thoughts & theories for the both of us. Also, no pressure to smoke with me either, you're still welcome here). And just like a book club, I will let you know the movies in advance so you can go deep and analyze them with me (there will ALWAYS be spoilers). Sit back, relax, and puff puff pass that spooky shit!

About me: I'm a creative artist based out of Los Angeles, primarily a photographer/filmmaker. I've written about horror movies for Nightmare on Film Street and a few other websites for the past 5 years or so. I hosted my own movie podcast a few years ago (Deezus Take the Reel) for a year, so I'm not exactly a new kid on the block. However, I'm not a critic or expert: just a creator who consumes A LOT of content, primarily genre films. And like most stoners, I think I'm pretty hilarious. Hopefully a few of you think so too, stay lifted my horror homies!
