Therapist: Good morning, how can I help you today?
Client: Hi, I'd like to book a facial and a massage please.
Therapist: Of course! Do you have any preferences for the types of facials or massages that you'd like?
Client: I'm not sure, what do you recommend?
Therapist: Well, our signature facial is a relaxing and rejuvenating treatment that includes a deep cleanse, exfoliation, and facial massage. As for the massage, we offer several options such as Swedish, deep tissue, and hot stone. Which one would you prefer?
Client: Hmm, I think I'll go with the signature facial and the Swedish massage.
Therapist: Great choices! I have availability next Wednesday at 2 PM. Does that work for you?
Client: Yes, that works perfectly. Thank you.
Therapist: You're welcome. I'll go ahead and book those appointments for you. I look forward to seeing you next week!

British English Speaking Challenge Day 4
Speak English With A British Accent
12/07/20 • 5 min
Day Four Question and Answer:
Q4: Do you like talking on the phone?
- What do I prefer to do than call?
- Give one reason why I don’t really like talking on the phone.
- What does it mean by the line ‘cutting out’
A: I’m not that keen on speaking on the phone. I would much prefer to send an email , write a letter or send a text. I don’t like the thought that my phone call is interrupting someone’s day. The phone ringing can be really intrusive. I also much prefer to talk someone face to face so you can see there reactions and body language. And thirdly, phone lines are not always very clear so you can’t always hear what the other person is saying, or the line keeps cutting out.
Saying that picking up the phone and talking to someone can get you an answer immediately and you also know that you’ve spoken with the right person, message has been delivered and you’ve got your answer one way or another. The problem with text and email is that you’re never 100% sure if the message has got through has it been caught in a spam filter or did you send it to the wrong number. At least with a call, you have a bigger chance of a resolution there and then.

British English Speaking Challenge Day 5
Speak English With A British Accent
12/09/20 • 5 min
Day 5 Question and Answer:
Q5: Do you drink tea or coffee?
- How do I start my day?
- Do I drink coffee throughout the day?
- What is the different methods of making a cup of tea?
A: yes I drink both but to be honest I much prefer coffee. I can’t start my day without a strong cup of black coffee. Without it I just can’t get going. I’ve found as I get older I can’t seem to handle too much caffeine throughout the day so generally I don’t drink coffee after lunch. I do like a cup of tea when I want a warm drink but I’ve already had my fill of coffee. I drink it black which I think is probably not the most popular way of drinking tea in the UK. I believe many tea drinkers like to have milk in their tea. There is an ongoing debate whether the milk should go in the cup first , or you pour the milk into the tea. To be honest, i’ve no idea which is the correct method or if it makes any difference to the taste. Many think tea is the national drink in Great Britain, and it does seem to be the one thing everyone turns to in times of crisis and celebration.
