Episode 24: Failures (Are Good) Turn Our Mess Into Our Message
Hello, I’m Genecia Alluora, thank you for joining me today! I wanna talk about why I think bullying, the failures are actually good for me. Not sure about you but I wanna share with you today how having failed in different areas of my life which I would list them out for you. And how I have at first taken it very badly to now looking back, how I’ve overcome all these negative feelings to become where I am today.
Failing academically
(02:17 - 02:33) So the first time I remember I failed, I mean in school academically was when I was in junior college. I didn’t do well in junior college. In fact I failed and I repeated one year.
(02:59 - 03:27) The reason why I failed was because I was, first and foremost, I went to a really good junior college, I went to St. Andrews Junior College, it was one of the top 7 junior colleges back in my days, my time. And that in itself I saw that I was taking Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology. It’s called triple sciences.
(03:53 - 04:07) Well, I followed the crowd and said okay let’s do triple sciences and my grades permitted. I was able to take these subjects, and then I discovered that I was not cut out for it.
(04:19 - 04:40) I’m just not a studying kind of person. I realized that I’m a very hands on person, very kinesthetic, hands on, I learn by doing. I literally learned by doing so I struggled because I realized there’s so much reading, and analyzing and studying and I couldn’t cope at all, my brain just shut down.
(05:05 - 05:16) It also took a hit on my self esteem that I call myself a failure, I’m not good enough, I’m just not cut off for the education system in Singapore.
(05:17 - 05:32) I’m just so lousy, I’m stupid, so these are the names and the lies I tell myself throughout my entire three years and can you imagine the damage it has done to my mind and my self esteem? It certainly has.
Amidst the difficulties I still thrived
(06:11 - 06:33) And in the three years even though I have my ups and downs I would tell you I thrived. I realize that I’m really someone who learns by doing and not just by reading and I’m someone who needs to be in action to get things done. So that’s my style.
(06:34 - 06:39) And I realized that my failures back then, the three years in JC
(06:46 - 07:13) has kind of affected myself and my self esteem through my years and on top of it when I went to Poly can you imagine the work already done? The damage already done to me even further on top of having to support myself through school since I was fourteen, not having enough money, has put myself through the education system so it’s kind of like ‘Oh my God, life just sucks’.
(07:15 - 07:23) So looking back at all these school failures, I, I will say
Discovering what I’m really good at
(07:25 - 07:51) it set me back because I had a lot more inner work to do. A lot more inner healing work to do. And plus the fact that, with all the bullying that I have gone through so it’s kind of like accumulated but what’s positive is that now that I’ve graduated and started my own business I look back, I’m glad I’ve gone through all these failures to learn about who I am and what I’m really good at.
(07:52 - 08:06) Which is, you know, to do business online, to be able to build up systems and processes, lead a big team, and now even hire graduates.
Our failures doesn’t determine our future
(08:21 - 08:31) Our failure doesn’t determine our future. Our failure doesn't determine who we will become.
(08:32 - 08:51) We will still need to decide on the actions to take. So I accepted my failures, I do a lot of inner healing work to let go of all the bullshit I tell myself that I’m not good enough, I’m such a failure because it’s really tough psychologically. I mean I could have just given up my life. It could go both ways, right?
(08:51 - 09:16) I could just have given up my life and said, you know, I am just not cut out for the education system and just, you know, throw it away and not study anymore and just be another type of Genecia, and not be the Genecia today, right? But you see that is why we need good people around us, we need to have good people, good friends, you know, mentors who will watch out for us and guide us.
(09:17 - 09:44) If there was something that I would like to tell my younger self during my college days and my poly days is that I should have invested in myself earlier on to get a mentor, not just when I’m doing business then get a mentor like get a mentor way earlier on, get a coach because only then probably I would have gotten out of my bullshit earlier, all the lies that we tell ourselves, I tell myself, that you are telling yourself right now.
Three things to ponder

109: 6 Big Business Tips For Introverts (like me)

109: 6 Big Business Tips For Introverts (like me)
I’ve never made any secret of the fact that I’m the world’s biggest introvert. I’m super introverted.
I know that many Soul Rich Woman entrepreneurs are introverts too. And I regularly hear women saying that they can’t build a big business “because they’re too introverted”.
In today’s episode, I’m sharing tips on building a really big, introvert-friendly business.
6 Big Business Tips
03:22- 03:28 The key is to set up business in a way that works best for you as an introvert.
03:29- 03:32 There are 6 different ways to do that.
#1 Choose a business model that works for you
03:34- 04:03 First is to choose a business model that works for you. Yes, it’s true that a big reach helps if you want to build a big business it's not just the numbers. But there are also a ton of ways to create that reach. For example, if you love speaking, try to live streaming. No need to leave the house. If making videos scares the hell out of you make podcasts. Like what I'm doing now.
#2 Outsource and partner strategically
04:50- 05:05 Number two: is outsourcing and partners strategically. I’m not talking about the collaboration here. Now, this tip is having good boundaries and every crucial for introverts. And partly about believing that you’re allowed to spend money on making things easier for yourself.
05:29- 05:33 Like I said, start by outsourcing and delegating in the areas that you are the weakest.
#3 Take all the downtime you need
07:00- 07:42 Number three: take all the downtime you need. Do you know that energy levels aren't the only difference between extroverts and introverts? Apparently, introverts’ brains also take longer to task-switch. We just tend to work better if we get some buffer time between finishing one task and starting another. Once I realized that I stopped making myself feel guilty for wanting to take time off in the middle of the day. I headed out to see a movie or just read a book in the park on the East coast. Even though my recurring money block insisted that earning money has to be hard.
#4 Batch and automate
08:29- 08:30 Batching and automation.
08:37- 08:43 As an introvert, I definitely have days where I just want to hide from the world and social media.
09:29- 10:05 So set up systems that allow you to automate as many tasks as possible. For example, sales follow up sequence or social media posting. And where that’s not possible like writing blog posts or doing your podcasts or writing your book, aim to batch your tasks. Batching, batching, batching. I often make my podcasts months in advance so I don’t have to stress if I don’t feel like getting in front of the microphone for a while or my videos.
#5 Don’t allow yourself to hideaway
10:24- 10:50 Number five: don’t allow yourself to hideaway. Now, online businesses can be awesome for introverts, but they can also be very isolating. And that’s not good for you or your business. Personally, I can stay at home without leaving the house for days at a time. I just just stay at home and don't go out. Unless I make a real effort, but I always feel better after I do.
11:16- 11:26 Remember to balance the time you spend working on your business with interactions that allow you to make offers and create leverage. Let people know how they can work with you.
#6 Get over your resistance to passive income
11:56- 12:23 Number 6: get over your resistance to passive income. Passive income is a dream model for introverts. I love it so much. Seriously, you do the work once, then sell it over and over again without needing to leave your house. Seriously, who cares about COVID when you're making passive income? And then, when people buy your product, you don’t have to interact with them.
13:18- 13:19 All I can say is trust me.
13:21- 13:30 It will make a huge difference to your business if you don’t rely on your personal energy to make money
Key Takeaways:
- Outsource and partners strategically.
- Take all the downtime you need.
- Batching and automation.
- Don’t allow yourself to hideaway.
- Get over your resistance to passive income.

105: Be A Contributor Not A Taker
Soul Why? The Secrets Of The Soul Rich Woman Blueprint
09/16/20 • 15 min
105: Be A Contributor Not A Taker
Are you a contributor or a taker? What does any of this have to do with you?
A contributor is others-focused and prefers to offer support to others. A taker is self-focused and putting their own interests ahead of the needs of others. In this episode, I will talk about one of the biggest things I’ve learned in my business and how it helped me change my mindset about the role I play in the world.
You can be a contributor, a leader
02:10- 02:13 If you really care about the topic, you can be a contributor, a leader.
02:14- 02:15 You don’t have to know everything.
02:42- 02:47 First and foremost, you would need to give yourself permission to show up where you are at exactly right now.
03:33- 03:38 So here are some thoughts for you, “Your movements need to have many voices especially yours”.
You need to stand out in the crowd
04:25- 04:27 You need to stand out in the crowd.
04:28- 05:03 Because worried that you’re not standing out in the crowd or that you’re not super original? Guess what? If you’re a contributor or a leader, you can keep your eyes on your own work. There are many parts to the same outcome, and many industries have their own niches within niches, there are different price points, too. And every industry needs diversity. Especially now, more than ever, customers are looking out for role models who look and sound like you. So, you’ve got to show up and inspire them.
05:47- 05:49 The movement needs your voice.
Empower people to find their own answers
05:58- 06:01 The next thing is to empower people to find their own answers.
06:02- 06:25 Gurus think there only one answer, and they want people to be reliant on them alone, but contributors let people find their own answers so you can help people follow their intuition, develop their own self-awareness by being a leader, sharing your voice, giving them tips, you don’t need to have all the answer.
06:23- 06:29 You don’t need to have all the answers because it’s just about sharing stories like what I’m doing now and being relatable.
06:44- 06:50 (6) If you’re a leader of others asking them questions helped them find their own answers.
07:41- 07:52 (11) You don’t need to have all the answers to be a contributor, you can just get good at asking questions, start conversations, well-coming opinions from your own industry.
Build a community, not a following
07:56- 08:28 Now there is a tendency in our world at the moment to count the number of followers that you have even the likes, shares that you have. And everyone seems to be obsessed with this. But if you’re a contributor, you’re building a community that you are a member of, as well. That doesn’t mean you’re the only one who has to have all the answers. You curate answers for a lot of different things in your community.
Creating safe spaces
08:33- 09:09 One of the other aspects of being a contributor is creating safe spaces for people to explore that topic. You might have a free or a paid Facebook group or you can have some sort of way that people can come together, and together you can think of the answers yourself, without you having to be the guru of everyone else. It can really be exhausting if everyone’s looking to you for the right answer, and if you’re trying to be everything to everyone. You can’t do it, but if you’re a contributor, it’s okay for you to build a community, where there are lots of different voices as well.
People need the basics
09:14- 09:29 The last thing I want to say is this, people just need to hear the basics. You do not need to know everything about everything. So you got to think, people need the basics, again and again, and they need to hear it from different people, and in different flavors, in different industries.
You don’t have to be perfect
10:00- 10:40 Lastly, don’t feel like you have to be perfect. Just be honest. You don’t have to be this untouchable guru, who is perfect all the time, because a lot of people don’t even try to put themselves out there because they worry that people are going to think, “Well, I’m not perfect. I can’t be a guru.” The best way to avoid that is just to tell your truth. Tell your story. No one can copy your particular story, and that is why I love asking a question about your origin story, your chronological story, your milestone, and all these will help you to build up a flow.
Key Takeaways:
- Give self permission.
- Your movement needs many voices.
- Empower people to find their answers.
- Build a community, not a following.
- Create safe spaces.

192: WHAT PROFESSION HAS THE BIGGEST MONEY BLOCKS?
Soul Why? The Secrets Of The Soul Rich Woman Blueprint

98/192: What Professions And Industries Have The Biggest Money Blocks
Money blocks, money blocks, money blocks! Which do you think has the biggest money block? I have them, you have them, pretty much everyone has money blocks of some kind.
It's pretty safe to say we all have money blocks, even if we don't know it yet. These blocks are pretty huge in themselves and I have a lot of resources for you to help to clear them, but let’s dive into some common professions that we see here in Soul Rich Woman.
Finance Professionals
08:44- 08:54 If you’re a financial advisor or professional who feels ashamed because you are already in debt or your accounting is really a mess.
08:59- 09:07 You feel really guilty because you don’t always follow your own advice perfectly and all these blocks are keeping you from helping more people.
09:15- 09:23 But you wonder why people would pay you to do their taxes? And to you, it’s obvious and easy. Not for everyone.
09:24- 09:29 Understanding that money blocks will help you to attract more clients.
Health and wealthiness and fitness professionals
03:12- 03:26 These money blocks are pretty huge in themselves and I have a lot of resources for you to help clear them but let’s dive into some common profession that we see here in Soul Rich Woman and the blocks that they have.
03:27- 03:30 First, health and wealthiness and fitness professionals.
03:50- 03:57 Many people working in the health industry have beliefs and feel like, number one, “Good health should be free.”
04:00- 04:11 Number two, “I’m taking advantage of people’s illnesses.” Number three, “I can’t offer people’s solutions or supplements because I should not be salesy.”
04:12- 04:18 Now the whole reason that people come to you when you’re a health professional is to learn how to better take care of themselves.
04:43- 04:48 They come to you for knowledge and by you not giving them what you know,
04:53- 04:57 then you’re not serving them to your best of your ability.
05:25- 05:34 You need to set boundaries. Now, these include asking for payment upfront, creating packages because that’s how transformation happens.
Universal blocks
02:52- 03:11 Here are some of the most common universal blocks that I have always seen. “I have to work really hard to make money.” Number two, “I don’t deserve or I’m not good enough to be wealthy or to be rich.” Number three, “I can’t help people and make money.”
07:59- 08:03 Remember yourself that clients are coming to you for your skills to hold them accountable.
05:03- 05:12 This affirmation, “I serve, I deserve.” is a really good one to use as a patent interrupter for those sources of blocks.
05:13- 05:22 It reminds you that you’re being served to people and it’s okay to charge in return for your expertise and experience.
Key Takeaways:
- Health and wellness professionals.
- Finance professionals.
- Spiritual professionals.
- Artists and creative professionals.
- MLM or Direct sales businesses.

120: How I Broke All Business Rules And Made More Money
Soul Why? The Secrets Of The Soul Rich Woman Blueprint

120: How I broke All Business Rules And Made More Money
I tend to be one of those people who is a rebel by nature and never an A-star student.
The rules never worked for me, so I tend to create my own rules.
But then I started my own business with literally no idea what I was doing.
I figured the best way was to just figure out my own way.
That’s when everything changed. I learned that sometimes, the traditional rules don’t apply. In today’s episode, I will share some of the business rules I broke, followed by a list of some of the rules I’m giving you full permission to break too!
You must dedicate a lot of time to your new business
03:22- 03:28 Rule number one: You must dedicate a lot of time to your new business.
03:29- 03:37 Four months after starting my business, it was really not easy. I had to budget my time wisely.
03:26- 04:15 I was able to slowly grow my business while living the dream. It was also the perfect way to experiment with different ways of working with my clients before settling into the way that felt right for me. So you really need to set your time aside.
Get as many clients as you can
04:16- 04:46 Rule number two: You must try to get as many clients as you can. This is an indication of how well your business is doing as well as whether the clients are suitable for you or not. I used to hear coaches brag about how many clients they get. I remember one coach told me how many people I was working with, and when I told her 6, she replied with this smug look on her face, telling me that she had 20 clients.
04:47- 05:27 But instead of being jealous, I was actually laughing in my head. How can someone works with 20 one-on-one clients at a time is beyond me? Because I value freedom, I value my time. That's why I'm an entrepreneur. Not only would I never be able to keep track of that many people, I just don’t want to work that hard. Because I want to spend time with my family as well. So I decided early on that I only wanted to work with 4 clients at once. And to make up for the drop in income, I raised my prices a lot.
Get clients who will sign on for the long term
07:03- 07:41 Rule number three: It’s important to get clients who will sign on for the long term. Now, that’s a great goal if you enjoy working with people long-term which sometimes I don’t. I’m totally happy to work with my clients in short bursts like maybe shorts 3 sessions for 5,000 dollars and then send them on their way. But I decided to change my model a little bit, I decided to work only with people for the long term, 12 sessions, or 13 sessions because that’s the energy I can sustain.
Don’t spend all your time messing around on social media
09:04- 09:14 Rule number four: Don’t spend all your time messing around on social media. "Yes, but who are you to tell me how to spend my time, Genecia?"
09:29- 09:33 Yes, I spend a lot of time on social media, and it pays off.
09:56- 10:06 It’s up to you how and when you use social media for your business. If it works for you, it works for you. I don't care what anyone else tells you.
You need to focus on building your list
10:08- 10:32 Rule number five: It’s all in the list, and you need to focus on building your list to a huge number before you can sell anything. When I first started, started with zero. I was never really interested in numbers because I was more interested in giving people value and that was when I was running my cafe retail chain.
12:36- 13:08 Numbers are just fluffed sometimes. If no one is buying from you, you can have the most number of likes on your social media. It is fluff. it is great that you have likes and I think it's a good adrenaline rush every time someone likes your post, but I've seen too many people having likes and shares but nobody is buying their products. So I say ignore your numbers for a while and see what happens in your business.
Key Takeaways:
- Try to get as many clients as you can.
- Get clients who will sign on for the long term.
- Dedicate a lot of time to your new business.
- You need to focus on building your list to a huge number.
- Don’t spend all your time messing around on social media.

58: I tried to hide. The Lies I Told Myself To #PlaySmall
Soul Why? The Secrets Of The Soul Rich Woman Blueprint
07/13/20 • 13 min
58: I tried to hide. The Lies I Told Myself To #PlaySmall. 70kg to 57kg. Only when we shine, we give permission for others to shine.
Sharing spotlight is not all about forgetting yourself, letting one's self shine is also giving others permission to shine.
Hello gorgeous and welcome to today's episode Soul Why Secrets of the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint. I'm your host, Genecia Alluora. Today, I want to talk about how I tried to hide myself.
02:34- 02:41 When we are leaders, there will be people who are not vibrating at the level that you are vibrating at.
02:57- 03:22 At the earlier stage of Soul Rich Woman, I actually put on a lot of weight. I was nearly 70 kg. I used to be 50 kg. When I was Miss Singapore, I was 50 kg. Then later on when I started a café retail chain, I was 55 and hovering between 57 to 58 kilos. So can you see my weight progression as my age progressed as well?
03:27- 04:08 As I do my café business, of course, my weight increased because I was eating, I mean, of course, no excuses, but I mean, I just want to share with you my side of the story, so don't judge me. Is it OK? You don't judge me. Is it okay you give me permission to say why I want to say? So I hope that through this sharing you can learn something. So I put on weight along the way and one of the things about my biggest concern is that women may think that I'm overshadowing them because I'm tall, I'm slim. If I were to dress up in the way then people will view me differently.
I try to hide
04:09- 04:35 So I try to hide. I kind of dress-down even during events. I dressed not the loudest. I dress in a professional manner that kind of like still trying to hide in a certain way. So allowing other women to shine. So I don't know how I got this warped idea that now I'm looking back at myself laughing.
04:43-05:57 I choose to make myself ugly, to put on weight. Eventually I weigh 70 kilos and really fat round swollen. And of course, it was really to me, OK, acceptable is all right, because as long as other women are happy, I'm happy as long as they are happy. Lo and behold, it happens again during the mentorship. My mentor asked me, "Genecia, are you really happy being fat and being round? And being the way that you are?" I mean, we are having really honest conversations. And I'm like, "Yeah. As long as other women are happy when we stand together, I'm not the slimmest, I'm not the most beautiful with my blue color hair. I mean, I'm OK." And then my mentor said, "Look at the way you're talking, you're like backstabbing yourself, belittling yourself, playing small, telling yourself the lies that are not true, that ugly is good." And then for a moment, I was stunned.
06:03- 07:15 And I thought about it for a moment, I said, "OK, let me come back to you." I did some reflection, I did some inner work again because probably my mentor noticed something that I didn't see. That's why mentors are super important. And I started looking at myself and reflecting on myself, doing some mirror work as well, and looking in the mirror and asking myself, Do I love myself, how am I doing, really? And digging so much deeper, because it's a psychological thing and it's very deep because sometimes we don't notice, and we are not even aware. And after being aware of it, I realized I wasn't happy being fat and round and overweight. I'm not really overweight and 174 in height, one seven four centimeters, and my weight is 70 kilos. I'm not that overweight, but I just didn't feel good. I felt heavy, my legs were hurting, so I started to reflect on all those things that were happening to me physically and psychologically.
07:16- 08:27 And then aha moment came, oh, I was hiding. I'm just using women as an excuse to just hide myself and not be able to stand in my own light and own my light. Thinking that by "oh, no, I want to let other women shine, so I disguised myself. I hide myself." That is incorrect. Why would I do that? I have no idea. But I did it anyway. Can you imagine we actually can allow ourselves to shine brightly as other women that's around us, there's no need to play small because someone will in order to allow others to shine. Could you reframe that? Can you restructure that thinking? The answer is yes because when I shine, I give the women permission to shine. When I slim down and embrace my own identity, I give other women permission to shine and embrace their own identity. It was such liberating, that moment of understanding and awareness.
09:36- 10:23 And I'm so much happier and on stage when I share this story of how I overcame my limiting beliefs and how I liberated myself, that by being who I am and owning my light, I was giving others the permission to shine. And one of them, Jane Aisyah Quek, the lady I shared with you that a five to employee turned instant podcast leader she heard my story, and she also decided to embark on her own journe...

135: What You Can Do When The Law Of Attraction Is Not Working For You
Hello and welcome to ‘Soul Why? Secrets Of The Soul Rich Woman Blueprint’ I am Genecia Alluora, author of two best-selling books, former Ms. Singapore, café retail chain owner, Southeast Woman Asia of Excellence 2010, and International Progressive Women 2019, I’m also the Founder of Soul Rich Woman.
When I first came across the Law of Attraction, very much earlier in my career, it’s very exciting. It’s like Christmas for me or Chinese New Year, a birthday party.
You think, “Oh my god, how could this possibly be true? Can I really just ASK for something and get it, Genecia? This is AMAZING.”
So, you see. You can set goals, make a dream board and wait. You feel like you’ve done everything right because you pasted all the photos, images, the car you want, the house you want, the husband you want, the money you want. So you get really pissed off because nothing happens. You said to the Universe “Hello, Universe, why are you not giving me, where’s the thing all I asked for?”.
03:05- 03:14 I had someone ask me for advice recently, and she was confused about how this works. She loves following our podcast show.
03: 21- 03:37 And she was incredibly frustrated. “Genecia, I’m really panicking. I have no money in my bank account right now and I’ve got three big bills to pay this month. What am I supposed to do?”
03:38- 03:57 So I said “To start with, stop feeling bad and scared about it. It will only make it worse. Even though you’re worried, start by first, affirming that everything will be okay. Two, visualize yourself paying your bills easily. Three feel the feeling of being so taken care of by the Universe.”
03:59- 04:17 And she said “Genecia, you don’t understand what I’m saying. How am I supposed to do that when I have no money in my bank account? It’s true! Everything that you’re saying is lovely, Genecia, but in reality there is nothing there in my bank account.”
She's constantly experiencing
04:21- 04:25 Negative affirmations are just as powerful as the positive ones.
04:26- 04:28 When you say “I have no money”,
04:38-04:49 you’ll only perpetuate the feelings of fear and anxiety, which will probably attract even more bills and unexpected expenditure.
04:51- 05:38 The funny part of the situation was that she couldn’t see the pattern. Of course, I was the mentor. She's constantly experiencing this feeling of having no money. Complaining and wining and then at least once a month she was running out of money, and she was unwilling to look inside and change. I told her to stay positive and to affirm that something would come up. And it did. Someone, eventually, gave her money out of the blue, and she was saved that very month.
05:39- 06:13 Then the horror story came, the next month she wrote to me and said “Genecia, I did another Law of Attraction experiment like you said and asked for $2,000 to show up today. And it didn’t. Why?” And it gets a bit frustrating on my nerves, actually. I wanted to tell her – “Look, there is a process, okay? It’s not always you think, you want, you want it now and then it will show up instantly in a snap of your finger.”
06:27- 06:48 You know what, there is a process here. It’s not always going to show up instantly if you’re not willing to do the inner work involved. It’s so much fun when things manifest instantly, but most of the time there is a time lag and there’s no way of knowing how long.
07:12- 07:20 Because we’re not truly aligned to what we want, and we have to do some emotional or physical decluttering, it can be symbolic.
07:28- 07:51 We may have to look at self-beliefs we have around money or take stock of some of our bad habits. Most people can’t be bothered. They want to instant solution and find a magical fairy, but not do any work towards it or change their behavior in any way.
09:23 - 09:47 Trust me, you can learn to be lucky, to be able to attract the F-word in to your life, Fabulous, Freedom, Financial Independence, and Happily easily and effortlessly. The trick is to master the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint to stay positive even when your reality is temporarily something totally different.

Episode 19: How to Delegate 80% Of Your To-Do List (and Succeed!)
Hello and welcome to today’s episode. My name is Genecia Alluora, thank you for joining me today. Well, today, I’m gonna share with you how to delegate 80% of your to-do list, how I got started, and why it’s so important for you to do the same. It is important that you are delegating in business, especially if you are a busy person and there are things that you don’t want to do but need to do anyway. Tune in to this episode to learn more.
By delegating, you are focusing on your zone of genius
(02:00 - 02:24) First and foremost the greatest benefit of being able to delegate 80% of your to-do list is that you can make money online easily. And you can sell anything online easily. And last, you can be just focusing on your zone of genius easily.
(02:25 - 02:35) Let me share with you what do I mean by focusing on your zone of genius. Which means, something that you love to do and you exceptionally love to do.
(02:53 - 03:19) If you really hate doing marketing or sales, then you need, and must bring people who can support you on doing those things that you dislike as well. Also if you hate doing accounting or bookkeeping then you can also delegate out as well. So basically it’s anything that you don’t like to do, I want you to think of how you can delegate out.
Hiring people to help you build your business
(04:07 - 04:11) When I decided to go from offline to online before that remember I was in the consultancy business.
(04:17 - 04:52) So I did have two staff at that time, I have two employees and there was my personal assistant and one was doing more ops job, operations kind of stuff, like helping me organize the workshops and things like that. But it came to a point I find that having a on the ground employee, you need to really know how to grow. How do you, how do you really hire somebody who can, how do you say this? It's like hiring people who really can help you build the business to where you want to go.
Building my business strategically
(05:39 - 06:02) We have our own zone of genius, even our staff or employees have their own zone of genius. So when I decided to go from offline to online in 2013, I changed my strategy. I learned somehow from my mentor who guided me how to, not say hire, but kind of look at how to build my business strategically.
(06:03 - 06:27) So that’s how I build different teams and departments on my own. Sales team, marketing team, team building social media, the team doing the Facebook ads, the team doing the overall, how do you form a sales call, how do you do even administrative work, how do you organize things so it’s easy for us to build workflow and processes.
(06:36 - 07:16) I am a very high eye person and I don’t really like to follow rules, so it was very difficult for me to mold myself into that process and flow but I would like to share with you that I allowed and gave myself permission to be a little bit more process oriented, as far as I can and then hire somebody who is more detailed than me, or more process oriented than me to look after that systems and process. So that means I know what I want and then I’m able to tell the other person what to do.
Know what you want
(07:24 - 07:36) So this is one part of delegation, you must know what you want. If you don’t know what you want, you have to really find a mentor, or a coach to guide you to see what is required.
(07:41 - 07:46) And outsource part of the system and process that you don’t want to do.
(08:34 - 08:37) So I’m overall and then I’m bringing people who’ll do the execution.
(08:38 - 08:53) So I’ll have a meeting and then I tell them this needs to be done, this is the direction, okay? Go and select some images and then these are the messaging, this is the copyrighting done by me and another copywriter and these are the things that are put together.
(09:05 - 09:08) So that’s how I outsource and delegate to my team.
Key Takeaways:
- Start delegating to focus on your zone of genius
- Know what you want
- Be process oriented
- Convey the right direction and instruction to your people
- By delegating, you can be more strategic in building your business

6: How To Go From Stuck To Unstoppable In 3 Steps

Episode 6 - How To Go From Stuck To Unstoppable In 3 Steps
Hi and welcome to today’s episode and I’m gonna share with you how I turned from image consultant to an expert helping thousands of women bringing her business online.
(02:01 - 02:07) Now are you or do you want to bring your business online but you have no idea where to start?
The decision to go online
(02:08 - 02:12) So I’m gonna share with you, first of all, why I decided to go online.
(02:12 - 02:25) Being an image consultant since 2006 for a couple of years until 2012, I was doing pageant coaching and as well as image consulting for CEOs of companies, politicians and decision makers.
(02:25 - 02:34) To me, I wanted to really be different and not to be the same as other people.
(02:35 - 03:09) So I was looking at my image mentors and definitely they are my seniors and mentors around me that I was looking at. And I realized that at the age that they’re in they are still teaching. And in my world, I ask myself this question ‘Would I really want to be still physically teaching in the corporate world or consulting my clients physically being there, location dependent. Work I get paid, work I get paid, I don’t work, I don’t get paid.’
(03:10 - 03:20) That was the question I asked myself. So it’s kind of in like a quarter life crisis. In fact maybe earlier than that because I was working since I was 14 years old.
(03:20 - 03:35) I can’t see myself being an entrepreneur who is trading time for money and not leveraging on systems to work more with less, then it occurs to me I must find a way to go online.
(03:36 - 03:40) Because I no longer want to trade time for money so I decided.
Three problems encountered
(03:41 - 04:11) Now there were three problems when I was looking and searching for ways to go online back in 2012. And the first thing was there were no clear signs of guros that were online. I mean, there were in fact a plenty of them and, you know, everybody is saying ‘I can help you to go online’. But I don’t know whether they really can help people to go online because I don’t know if they are the real time mentors or the just read from the book kind of mentors.
(04:13 - 04:18) So I had to do a lot of deep research about each and every single one of them that I was learning from.
(04:27 - 04:55) And eventually, I found this person, his name is James, James Wee. And also Welson, Welson Ang. So the two gentlemen whom are localized, first and foremost they’re from Singapore and they had really done online businesses and they have crossed their 5-figures, 6-figures, really, and I’ve seen them in person and it’s like Wow! I can touch the break you know and by having that give me more trust versus just online.
(04:56 - 05:22) Then again I also bought many online courses during this journey of doing deep researching . I’ve bought like 10 different types of courses. Each course ranging from $3000 - $10,000. So I spend so much money trying to figure a way out and still I don’t need another online course because every course is just a video and download. I just felt very frustrated.
(05:24 - 05:39) So I decided to go with my mentorship with James Wee, who was the one who guided me to cross my first hundred thousand dollars in three months and then later on a million dollars within a single year in 2013
(05:41 - 05:59) Problem number two was that it was not culture specific. Being a woman in Singapore in Asia. The grass is always greener on the other side. So when you position yourself as a woman leader, people don’t really want to learn from Asian women.
(07:06 - 07:15) So it was not easy trying to balance, like all these different pieces that people are looking at us as Asian women and woman leaders.
(07:17 - 07:27) So I manage to find a middle ground, I manage to find a way to overcome these aspects which is to really rebrand myself in terms of the way I dress well.
(07:55 - 08:07) So the third one was technical. Technical was getting into the way. I mean, I’m not technical savvy at all. It was really tough for me to get in all the technical software and everything.
Words of encouragement
(08:53 - 09:08) So I just want to encourage you today, I’ve overcome it all and if you’re looking to bring your business online but no idea even where to start is to find a mentor so that you could avoid all these problems that I used to face.
(09:43 - 09:46) Stop all these nonsense sounds that are in your head.
Key Takeaways:
- Focus on your growth
- Find a mentor that can help you to succeed
- Don’t let negativity engulf your mind
- Go after your dreams
- Focus on your zone of genius and be seen as a leader instantly.

71: What Success Means To Me
Soul Why? The Secrets Of The Soul Rich Woman Blueprint

71: What Success Means To Me
Hello, Soul Rich Woman. Welcome to today’s episode of the ‘Soul Why? The Secrets of the Soul Rich Woman Blueprint’ I’m your host, Genecia Alluora. Today I wanna share with you what success means to me because a lot of you are posting on my social media.
Being there for women
01:56- 02:16 At this point in my life, success truly means to me being able to be there for the women I’m coaching and mentoring around the world and being there as a support and strength and a source of hope to guide them through.
02:18- 02:29 No matter what their journey and their past or their future may look like, being there to watch their back.
02:31- 02:36 It’s like you put someone whom you can trust to watch your back for you.
Having good results
05:14- 05:26 Being this source of friend or source of strength gives me that power and motivation to live every day.
05:29- 05:33 That is why eventually I decided to even start this podcast.
05:48- 05:50 Why do I make this every day?
05:58- 06:11 Because I want to be here with you. But are you willing to allow me and give permission to work with you? In your inbox, phone, in the new year, wherever you go.
06:13- 06:15 And that to me is a success.
06:16- 06:38 Having achieved a good result of being in 53 countries, having listeners, and downloads and leads from 53 countries, gives me the possibility and a glimpse to go to a hundred countries. To have listeners, like yourself, around the world.
Freedom
06:55- 07:12 Of course another form of success for me is beyond a person, is my own personal success, that I could spend time with my mom, my dad, anytime I want, anywhere in the world, and at any point in time. Because that is freedom and freedom is real.
07:19- 07:23 Family. Blood is still thicker than water. And that to me is a success.
08:16- 08:29 So I’m constantly driving and working hard every single day. Batching my content, repurposing my content, and creating online courses that you can attend anywhere in the world.
09:59- 10:17 It’s always good, my friend, to dream a little. To be brave a little more. Stop playing small in the things you’re doing. Have courage. Be courageous to step out of your comfort zone and to go the dream you always wanted to achieve.
Key Takeaways:
- Success means being there to support women around the world.
- Being there to watch their back.
- Being willing to allow me to work with you.
- Achieving good results gives me a glimpse to go to a hundred countries.
- Constantly driving and working every day to create online courses that you can attend.
