Two sisters review spicy romance books. One reads them. The other...is excited to be included. We go through the first book, "Broken" in Imogen Keeper's After the Plague series and it hurts so bad we had to split this series into two episodes. The first book--a novella--starts in the midst of a plague that wipes out 99% of humanity. This one is heavy with grief, death, hopelessness, and finding purpose anyway. We initially reviewed the whole series in one go, but realized it needed longer in the oven, so we have split the review! Please enjoy this first course, and come back next Saturday when we present the rest of the series and give our recipe~!
TW: death, illness, grief, suicide mention

Forgive Me Father, For I Have Crossed So Many Lines
Two sisters review spicy romance books. One reads them. The other...is excited to be included. We beg for forgiveness as we review "Crossed" a Never After novel by Emily McIntire. Loosely based on Hunchback of Notre Dame, our villainous lead, Father Cade has set his righteous, murderous eyes on Amarya who makes his heart burn with hell fire. This one is incredibly dark--please check the trigger warnings--but it had us singing dramatically at our fireplaces from page one.
TW: Discussions of sex, stalking, SA, rape, bullying of a child on the spectrum, murder, gore, violence and so much religious trauma
Timestamps for specific discussions/quotes

After the Plague of Heartbreak, Can We Find Love?
Two sisters review spicy romance books. One reads them. The other...is excited to be included. We go through the rest of Imogen Keeper's After the Plague series and we are beginning to feel hope again! For once, though, Rachel had not finished the final book (Haven) when we recorded, so we leave it up to you to read the ending. Does our recipe holds true? Should we keep doing long series? Should Frankie have biblically accurate angel eyes?
