For once, though, Rachel had not finished the final book (Haven) when we recorded, so we leave it up to you to read the ending. Does our recipe holds true? Should we keep doing long series? We go through the first book, "Broken" in Imogen Keeper's After the Plague series and it hurts so bad we had to split this series into two episodes. The first book--a novella--starts in the midst of a plague that wipes out 99% of humanity. This one is heavy with grief, death, hopelessness, and finding purpose anyway. We initially reviewed the whole series in one go, but realized it needed longer in the oven, so we have split the review!
