Society Talks - Bubba Ginnetty - Interview
play

08/31/20 • 28 min

Ryan "Bubba" Ginnetty, (director, production manager, and comedian) joins us on Society Talks to talk about his company, InCrowd, to keep live show comedy alive in the new pandemic normal. With tours cancelled, stay at home orders issued and social distancing changing the landscape of live concerts and comedy shows/performances for both fans and performers, one man is introducing a solution without leaving the comfort of home. Ryan “Bubba” Ginnetty launched a Los Angeles-based immerse innovative experience - "InCrowd", an original multimedia concept that creates an interactive stage where performers can interact via Zoom with fans who are safely at home. This allows the performers to see, feel and laugh with the audience which is a key element to stage performances. Comedians Drew Lynch (NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”) and "Comedy Central’s" James Davis are amongst the performers participating in the experience. Each LIVE virtual even can hold up to 50,00 General Admission attendees and 300 VIP Wall participants who will be displayed on screen and heard virtually anywhere in the world. Ginnetty's pandemic proof solution was to combine his stage and lighting design skillset and partner with Zoom to create "The Wall." VIP fans are shown to the performer via a 360-degree video wall during their performance, streamed LIVE over Zoom. Ginnetty designed 'The Wall' so that it is curved around the performer to simulate a surround-sound audience. The Wall projects up to 300 VIP participants who can see, hear and interact with the talent and other members of the audience. Each show is directed live and controlled by an in-studio broadcast and production team allowing for an ultra-high-quality multimedia stage show. When Ginnetty has time off from traveling around the world producing shows for DJ Snake, French Montana, and Zeds Dead, he is also a part-time stand-up comedian. With his background in comedy and stage/touring production, he meshed his two passions together to create InCrowd’s first production “The Secret Comedy Show,” a weekly comedy series/stand-up featuring comedy legends like Sarah Silverman, Drew Lynch, Damon Wayans, Bryan Callen, Taylor Tomlinson, Tone Bell, Ron Funches, Brad Williams, Iliza Shlesinger and Reggie Watts. This partnership has allowed InCrowd to sell out audience from all around the world, and they have already reached more than 7.5 million impressions. InCrowd Entertainment unifies the latest technology in live streaming and stage production with comedians, musicians, theatre productions and more that thrive in a live audience setting. From live studio performances and talk shows to concerts and theatre, InCrowd is the new way to experience live entertainment from the comfort of your home. Society Talks - Stephen Manas - Interview
play

08/03/20 • 25 min

Stephen Manas makes US television debut as opposite of Jason Sudeikis in the upcoming Apple+ comedy series “Ted Lasso” premiering on Friday, August 14th, 2020. He joins us today on Society Talks! Only acting for a few years, bilingual French-born actor and music composer, Manas, is a rising star who is ready to take on Hollywood. It wasn’t until the first Harry Potter film came out that he fell in love with cinema, watching it over and over again. At the age of 17 he moved to Lyon, France for marketing and business school. Shortly after the move he was discovered on the street for acting and got his first taste of the entertainment world when he was cast for a small part in an independent film – falling in love but not quite yet knowing how to break into the industry. After school he took a corporate job in marketing that he hated and when a talent agency based in India cold called him, he jumped at the chance to work in film again. He made the move to India where he immersed himself in the Bollywood industry, building his acting resume. After two years living and working in India, he returned to France in 2018 to tap back into French cinema. While in France, he booked the lead role in the award-winning short film OUT OF FRAME/ HORS CHAMP, for which he also won numerous acting awards including “Best Performance of Fest” at the Actors Awards Los Angeles, “Best Actor” at the Alternative Film Festival, and “Best Actor” at the Top Shorts Film Festival. He was also cast in the film LA BONHEUR DES UNS (A FRIENDLY TALE) opposite well-renowned actor Vincent Cassel (“Westworld,” BLACK SWAN), and Academy Award, Golden Globe, and SAG Award-nominated actress Bérénice Bejo (THE ARTIST). The film follows a group of lifelong friends whose loyalties to each other are unexpectedly tested. When Manas is not working in front of the camera as an actor, he is composing music behind the scenes. With an outside-the-box almost Hans Zimmer-like approach to music composition, his work has garnered him some impressive projects including FAST & FURIOUS 8. Manas currently lives in France where he practices a spiritual life of meditation and gratitude. Society Talks - Jason Collett - Interview
play

05/07/20 • 41 min

Jason Collett is most known as the upcoming star-packed gothic noir drama, "The Devil All The Time", opposite Tom Holland, Haley Bennett, Robert Pattison, Bill Skarsgård, Jason Clarke and Riley Keough, written and directed by Antonio Campos (THE SINNER), premiering on Netflix later this year. "The Devil All The Time", based on the novel of the same name by Donald Ray Pollock, takes place in the 1960s after World War II in Southern Ohio amongst a group of bizarre, compelling and disturbed people who suffer from the war's psychological damages. Collett plays Gary Matthew Bryson, a naïve partner-in-crime to husband and wife team of serial killers, Carl and Sandy Henderson (played by Clarke & Keough, respectively), who troll America's highways searching for suitable models to photograph and exterminate. Executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal, the dark and gritty film intersects storylines with a sickly and unsettling ability to entangle viewers into its spell. A colorful array of delightfully nasty, dirty and chaotic characters awaits you upon your first watch, and while each person has their own story, characters are inexplicably linked in the most peculiar of circumstances. The highly anticipated psychological thriller is scheduled to be released on Netflix later this year. Collett has been acting on film and stage for over 15 years and is also a trained stunt professional. His appearances in television include HBO's “Watchmen,” HBO's “Hung,” and NBC's “Chuck.” His film credits include "Stay at Condor Beach," the action-thriller "Military State," and the faith-based film "Inheritance", starring alongside legendary actor Robert Miano. Jason also played the lead role of Jamie Nabozny in the documentary "Bullied: A Student, A School, and a Case That Made History" for the Southern Poverty Law Center's Teaching Tolerance program. Jason has studied under some of the most influential teachers in Hollywood, including Alice Carter, Joseph Pearlman, Robert D’Avanzo, Sandra Merril and Sara Mornell. Collett has extensive stunt experience and has trained in pole climbing, weapons, hand-to-hand fighting, prat falling, bungee harness, high falling and ATV riding. Some of his stunt experience has helped him not only in the acting industry, but he has also dressed up as Spider-Man to visit local children’s refugee camps outside of Atlanta, his current hometown, to help bring some simple joy to the children who need it most.
