So Now You Are Dying What Are You Doing To Live

So Now You Are Dying What Are You Doing To Live

Kate Davis

So now you are dying, what are you doing to live?” is a podcast that takes an intimate look at the two things that are most feared and stigmatized in our society, terminal illness and death and the ways people are experiencing and embracing them. Terminal illness and death are kept so separate from our day-to-day lives and yet it is something we are all going to face... our own mortality. This podcast hopes to shed some light on the experience from people who are going through it and to enlighten, share and help educate a broad audience.

Welcome to the fourth episode of “So Now You Are Dying What Are You Doing To Live”? My guest this week is Kelly Jo Song. Since being diagnosis with a terminal illness she found diving into work and putting her energy into helping others has really helped her cope. Like starting a facebook group and charity to help people deal with terminal illness. We had a great talk about letting go of negative thoughts, feelings and never going to bed angry. Doing the best you can and making the most of the time you have with family. But most importantly focus on living and do what brings you are most passion.

Welcome to the third episode of “So Now You Are Dying What Are You Doing To Live”? My guest this week is Andrea Bird. She's an incredible visual artist, teacher, wife and mother of 2. We had a great chat about how poetry and psilocybin have helped her cope with her diagnosis. She educated me on what it's like dying in a death phobic culture and how ones relationship with hope is ever changing. Honestly it was truly an amazing interview that has changed the way I will look at this podcast. Andrea is engaging, funny and insightful.

It is with a deep sense of sadness and gratitude I get to share with you the second episode of “So Now You Are Dying What Are You Doing To Live”? My guest this week is Danny Freedman which I sadly just found out passed away on May 8th. Danny was not only a guest but a friend. Danny loved being a comic and he loved the comedians he knew and worked with. He was one of the most positive guys I know. I am so grateful I got to do this interview with Danny. He’s real, funny and shares some true words of wisdom for the rest of us to live by. The most heartfelt condolences to his family who he loved so much and his friends. Rest In Peace Danny. xoxo
