play

02/05/20 • 31 min

This week, I’m interviewing one of my clients, Kristen Boss.
On our consult call, Kristen expressed a goal of having a $20k launch, but was hesitant about investing in coaching. We struck a deal – I’d have her on the podcast if she hit $20k in her recent launch. Of course, she made her goal and is here to share her experience with us.
For this week’s episode, Kristen is joining me to share her thoughts on our initial consult call, the challenge I set for her, the income goals she met, and what she did to get her return on investment in coaching.

Highlights:

  • Leveling up in a huge way
  • Creating content for your yes
  • Who am I being?

Simple Online Business - Ep 171: Entrepreneur Friendships with Kristen Boss
play

06/09/21 • 73 min

As an adult, I struggled to create meaningful friendships. I got married and had kids very young, unlike any of my friends from high school or college. And then I moved across the country where I didn’t know anyone.

I felt lonely for most of my 20s, while at home with babies and toddlers. Friendships looked so easy for everyone else, and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me.

The first life coach I ever worked with helped me learn how to build meaningful, real friendships as an adult. This still remains one of the most valuable transformations I’ve ever received from coaching.

On this week’s episode of the Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I’ve invited my best friend, Kristen Boss, on to talk about our friendship. What you’ll hear is the real me, opening up honestly with one of my closest friends. Listen now for a peek inside our relationship, as we talk about the importance of entrepreneur friendships, tips for making friends as a business owner, and our money thoughts.

On today’s episode, you’ll learn:

  • The story of how Kristen and I met and become best friends
  • What we have learned from each other and building our businesses over the years
  • Why it is so important to have supportive relationships as a business owner
  • What supportive friendships look like, and the key to maintaining them
  • Why our friendship isn’t some fancy unicorn friendship, and how you can find your own entrepreneur bestie!

Simple Online Business - Ep 212: Mama to CEO $5k Success Stories
play

03/16/22 • 52 min

In Mama to CEO, your first goal is making 5k.

You aim to do it in a month - but if you don’t do it in 30 days, you keep going. However long it takes to make that first 5k, you keep going.

And then you get to work to do it again, better. Simpler, calmer, faster.

You become the master at making 5k. You hit consistent 5k months.

On today’s episode of Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I’m interviewing 4 Mama to CEO students who have recently hit 5k months.

Halima had made about $3k last year in her business. In October she decided to join Mama to CEO and hit her first $7k cash month in January.

Ema had signed up for all the freebies and courses and still wasn’t getting the results she wanted. Once joining Mama to CEO she began working on her thought belief which ultimately resulted in her making $5k within 8 days.

Victoria was making $6k/year before joining Mama to CEO. She joined the program in December and has already made more than she had made all of last year.

Michelle tripled her business income in 2021 all while having twin babies during that year. She hit her first $5k month in January when she changed her mindset towards her business.

Their stories are all different, and all incredibly inspiring. I had goosebumps and I’m sure you will too.

You’ll learn:

  • The transformations possible once joining Mama to CEO
  • How believing in yourself and doing the thought work is the key to success
  • What it takes to make 5k in a month’s time or less

Simple Online Business - Ep 219: Fear vs Intuition

Ep 219: Fear vs Intuition

Simple Online Business

play

05/04/22 • 13 min

Have you ever thought about gauging fear vs. intuition? The two can most certainly get convoluted. How do you know if the “fearful” feeling you get is an intuitive sign that you might not want to do something or if it's simply the discomfort of the unknown? Sometimes business can be scary, or hard. But when we preach the narrative that it has to be, I think it sets a lot of us up for more failure than necessary.

Things that are worth doing in your business don’t need to be as hard as you make them out to be. You don’t need to feel uncomfortable or jump through hoops in order to feel like you’re on the right track.

I encourage you to take on a different perspective when approaching your business. Embrace curiosity and start asking yourself the right questions. Why do you feel a certain way in your business or why does something feel “heavy”?

On today’s episode of Online Business Building Mamas podcast, I’m talking about how to tap into YOUR intuition to know... is this some fear of the unknown where I just need to find some courage? Or... is this my intuition telling me no?

Your business journey can be easy and enjoyable, trust me!

If it feels heavy or treacherous for you, let’s talk, because I want to help you find the light and ease in business that is 100% achievable.

You’ll learn:

  • Why the best coaching is the coaching that isn’t opinionated, but it’s the coaching that puts you more in tune with who you are as a person.
  • That when your business feels “too easy”, this isn’t a bad thing, and this could very well be a sign that your business is on the right track.
  • Why focusing on what is working in your business will ultimately drive you to success.

This week, I closed the Facebook group I’ve been growing for two and a half years. It had just under 11K people in it and the majority of my clients in the past 3 years of my business have come from the group.  And I closed it.

On this episode, I’m sharing why I decided to close the group and the six lessons I’ve learned about growing an audience – no matter which platform you choose.

Simple Online Business - Ep. 118 Failure Fragile and Success Grit
play

06/17/20 • 20 min

I tend to attract high performing, smart women as clients. Women who have typically been star students and achieved everything they’ve gone after, prior to building a business. Building a business knocks them on their asses, and their confidence in themselves suffers. They start to think they aren’t cut out for building a business – and this couldn’t be further from the truth.
What is actually happening here, is that people who were great students and generally high performing are actually typically failure fragile.

Today I’m going to be talking about how to stop being failure fragile, and what to do instead. From one A student to another.... This is exactly what you need to stop holding yourself back and start doing what it takes to create the successful business you are dreaming of.

Simple Online Business - Ep 210: Too Easy

Ep 210: Too Easy

Simple Online Business

play

03/02/22 • 15 min

The majority of us grew up believing that making money is hard, and that hard work is how we make more money.

I want to throw that belief in the trash.

The truth is that making money is very simple. It’s not always easy (especially when we are just learning to do it!) but it can be.

I personally have had a lot of resistance to having things be easy. And this experience of ease can be very unsettling.

Recently I had been coached on making money feeling “too easy”. I realized I was trying to come up with some rationale that didn't exist. I earned the money. And it was easy.

And then I went to an NBA game - and what I saw gave me one of the biggest transformations I’ve had recently in my business.

What I saw were people who are at the top of their industry, who make millions of dollars. And they were smiling. That’s when I realized - they are playing a GAME.

Maybe this seems obvious? But to me it felt so profound. Here are people who are masters of their craft, which is playing a game. They get paid millions of dollars to play a game they enjoy.

On this week’s Online Business Building Mamas podcast episode, I talk more in depth about my takeaways from the game, and also about what to do when your business feels “too easy” - how you handle those moments 100% determines your experience in your business.

You’ll learn:

  • How to let go and allow your business to be “easy”
  • Why you need to stop making things harder than they need to be
  • Why you need to throw away the resistance of things being “too easy” in your business

Simple Online Business - Ep 236: Lessons From My First $1K Month
play

08/31/22 • 25 min

Are you the kind of business owner that plays the, “look at them” game with yourself? You know, the game where instead of putting your time and effort into things that might actually move your business forward, you scroll on social media for hours, stalking and comparing yourself to every single person in your niche. Then, you sit there and say:

“Look at them, I could never have a business like them.”

When really, what you should be saying is, “Look at them. There’s no reason I can’t be as successful as them. I just need to start taking action to get there.”This week, I am bringing it back to when I had my first $1k month. To be honest, it was around the time that I had just made $40 in ONE year.

Yes, you read that right. And I remember saying to myself, “if I could bring in $200-$500 a month, that would be SO life changing.” Once I finally had that month, it was, in fact, so life changing, and I know for many that are reading this, you might share the same story as mine, that it WOULD be life changing to bring in that much extra income monthly. It was that month, that first BIG win, that really made me feel like I could have a $1k month. When it finally happened, THAT was the turning point in my business for me, and I want to help you do the same. Let’s have some wild dreams, and let’s figure out how to create them together.

I also want to take a moment to acknowledge those of you that are reading this, or might tune in to this episode, that might not be making money yet in your business, or might not be having $1k months yet, or better yet, making low 4 figure months. Reaching those first few wins for me in my business were MORE meaningful for me than goals I hit now, because those were the wins that created the belief. Those wins will let you know and allow you to feel that this business is REAL, which makes them such precious wins.

You’ll learn:

  • Why investing in coaching early on in your business is one of the best investments you could possibly make.
  • How creating connections with people, both in-person and online, will drastically improve your success rate in your business.
  • How the word “no” isn’t a failure in your business, but a way to obtain measurable result
