Episode 189 "KISS Off The Soundboard Des Moines 1977"
Shout It Out Loudcast
09/17/22 • 100 min
This week Tom & Zeus review the latest Off The Soundboard KISS release, KISS Off The Soundboard Des Moines 1977. This live album features KISS at arguably its highest popularity. The band was still with its original KISS members, Ace Frehley, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley & Peter Criss and the album was in support of KISS Alive II. This tour would see KISS sell out Madison Square Garden 3 nights in a row and Tokyo's Budokan for five nights in a row breaking a record.
This is SIOL's 6th live album review. The guy's breakdown the album, the tracks and of course Paul Stanley's stage banter as well. The list their top 5 favorite tracks and rank the cover (we know) and the album against the 5 live albums by KISS that were previously reviewed.
Could this be the Most Positive KISS Album Review ever?????
Listen and find out!

The guys ask Roy to share his thoughts on the whole KISS drama created by these, mostly never before seen footage. Roy also talks about his long term relationship with Curt Gooch, the so-called KISS buyers group and the man that he identifies as Sam Loomis.

Episode 190 "KISS 5 Disc CD Player"
Shout It Out Loudcast
09/24/22 • 91 min
This week Tom & Zeus continue their discussion from SIOL sidecast Dorm Damage, and talk about the 5 disc CD player and which 5 KISS albums they played in the dorms in the 1990's.
The 5 disc CD player was a must in the 1990's. While at Stonehill College, Tom & Zeus would each put a lineup of 5 various KISS albums in the respective rooms. The KISS albums available to choose from were the KISS debut album up until KISS Revenge & KISS Alive III.
The guys each name their five KISS albums and discuss reasoning and strategy as why those were picked. They also discuss whether their selections would vary if they had to pick today.
A fun and interesting KISS music discussion. Another positive episode? Is this SIOL? Wait they do like KISS?

Episode 207 "Hotter Than Hell"
Shout It Out Loudcast
01/21/23 • 129 min
This week Tom & Zeus review the 1974 KISS album, "Hotter Than Hell.” This was KISS' 2nd studio album and the 19th KISS studio album reviewed by SIOL.
Produced by the same two producers of the debut album a few months earlier, Kenny Kerner & Richie Wise, Hotter Than Hell was the first album that KISS did not have all the songs ready to go. Some of the songs were left overs from the previous album and also Wicked Lester, but some were created for this specific album.
The album features a still hungry bad with contributions from all members. Of the ten songs, only three were sung by Paul Stanley. Ace Frehley had three writing credits, Peter Criss sang two songs and Gene Simmons sang 5 songs!
The album was darker and heavier than the debut album and is noted for its tough sounding production. Many of the songs became KISS concert staples, such as Parasite, Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll, Hotter Than Hell and more. A couple of KISS' best deep cuts are also on the album.
The album cover by John Van Hamersveld features a Japanese theme and photos from the legendary photo shoot by Norman Seeff.
As usual the guys breakdown and analyze the tracks and rank the songs SIOL style. As always, they then compare the album and album cover and rank it against the previous studio albums reviewed.
Don't miss the incredible episiode opener!
